Tiffany Star

Tiffany Kay Star (Young) came into this world on February 3, 1980, in the York General Hospital in York, Nebraska, and passed peacefully from it on February 9, 2025, in the HCA Florida Osceola Hospital in Kissimmee, Florida, at the age of 45. As the third child of Larry and Carmen Young, Tiffany and her two siblings – Dan, aged 3, and Heidi, aged 5 - grew up sliding through mud and digging snow dens in Benedict, Nebraska. At the age of four, the Young Family moved to Story City, Iowa, and Tiffany spent the next thirty-two years of her life calling Iowa her home. Throughout her adolescent years, Tiffany spent innumerable hours at the local swimming pool, becoming the lifeguard whom every child adored. During the school year, those children became herown personal fan club, cheering for her at every home volleyball and basketball game. Upon graduating from Roland-Story High School in 1998, Tiffany received a full academic scholarship to play both volleyball and basketball at Des Moines Area Community College in Boone, Iowa for two years before transferring to Iowa State University to complete her B.S.in Exercise and Sport Science in 2002. Shortly thereafter she added a Certificate in Message Therapy. Tiffany’s magical gift with children came full circle when her own daughter was born on June 3, 2007, and in 2016, they waved goodbye to Iowa for the last time and joined the majority of the Young Clan in the Sunshine State. Tiffany was an avid homeschooler, gifted artist, fantastic cook, and the family jokester. Her smile lit up the room, and her stories could keep you rolling on the floor in laughter for hours. She will be loved forever by those who are eternally blessed to have known her in this life. Tiffany is survived by her daughter Jasmine Star (Kissimmee, Florida); her father Larry Young (Kissimmee, Florida); her sister Heidi (Ron) Degany (Petach Tikvah, Israel); and her brother Dan Young (Davenport, Florida) as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Carmen Young (Townsend) on May 30, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Kissimmee, 1700 John Young Pkwy, Kissimmee, FL 34741. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family suggests a memorial donation can be sent to 3341 Earle Ct, Kissimmee, FL 34746, which will then be presented to an organization whose mission is to “help people with developmental disabilities experience a full life”, which perfectly embodies what Tiffany desired for all of us.
