Stella Griffith

Mrs. Stella Griffith 72 of Kissimmee passed away Saturday November 13th 2010 Stella Griffith was the daughter of Victor Griffith and Rhoda Florence Samuels. Born in Georgetown Guyana on January 27, 1938, Stella was blessed to have six siblings Victor Frank Haynes, beloved and deceased Sheila Adams, beloved and deceased Shirley Griffith, Evelyn Cantin, Jean Spencer, beloved and deceased Ingrid Moses, and beloved and deceased Roy Griffith. Stella Griffith was blessed by her siblings and parents to go overseas to Trinidad to prepare for her career in Nursing. She was then raised by her Aunt Ivy, and later left to Scotland to study and become a Midwife. Stella continued to study nursing and became a registered Nurse in England. Stella Griffith worked at Mary Immaculate Hospital for 30 years, and retiring as a Nursing Unit Director, she was very dedicated to her patients, family, and friends. She enjoyed playing Trinidad Carnival Mass, dancing, and traveled extensively After having her first daughter Renee, she lovingly adopted Yvonne from Guyana, and shared her world with both of her children. She raised them being a strong, single loving parent. She had helpful family and friends who devoted their time. Stella flew away into the heavenly realms leaving behind two daughters Yvonne and Renee, two dear to heart grandchildren Ivana and Ihsaan and two son in laws Paul and Larry. Her love extends to her godsons Anthony Jackson, Edward Jones, Antoine Jones and Hakim Jones, goddaughters Keisha Creed,Carolyn Martson, Carlyn Davis,Susan Jackson, Rose Jackson, Debbie Jackson, Dianne Jackson and Michelle Jones, her darling nephews Rudolph David, Michael David, Derrick Adams, Ronald Adams, Kenny Griffith, Aggrui Haynes, Duane Spencer, Pierre Cantin, Chad Cantin, Troy Moses, Stephon Moses, nieces Marcelle Moses, Schantel Spencer, Ethel Haynes, brother in law Michel Cantin and sister in law Brenda Haynes. She further had the greatest friends who were like family to her, and the people at her adult day care program who she adored. Stella now has old friends and family in heaven who waited patiently for her. Her favorite phrases were "I'll fly away", and "See you later alligator". A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 20th 2010 at 10am at the Funeral Home. oficiated by Minister Dwayne Brown Interment will follow. A visitation will be held on Friday November 19th from 4 to 8pm at the Funeral Home.
