Shirley M Hardlannert

Shirley N. Hardlannert went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 after a short battle with Kidney disease…just two days after celebrating her 94th birthday with her husband, daughter and several friends at the Osceola Health Care Center. Shirley is pre-deceased by her brother - Edward Burnett; husband - Ralph Craig and their son - Thomas R. Craig; husband - Robert Woods and his son - Barry Conrad Woods. Shirley is survived by her loving husband - William (Bill) Hardlannert Jr.; son - Michael A. Craig; daughter - Stacey Jo Woods; Step-daughter - Deborah Baron (David); step-son - William J. Hardlannert III (Jeannine); 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 3 great nieces, 2 great-great nieces and 2 great-great nephews; including Bonnie Olbrich and Nancy Lindner who she often traveled with over her lifetime. Shirley was born on March 23, 1919, in Quincy Ill, the daughter of Thomas and Viola Burnett. As an infant she was enrolled in the ‘Cradle Roll’ of The Federated Church of Harvey, IL, along with a baby boy who became her husband over 60 years later…William J. Hardlannert Jr. Shirley worked in Illinois, once being the only woman to ever serve as meter maid in downtown Harvey and then selling high end jewelry at Roger’s Jewelers. She served as President of both the Woman's Club and the Elkettes in Harvey, Illinois; and President of the Elkettes of Elk Lodge 1875 in Kissimmee. Shirley and Bill retired to Saint Cloud from Homewood, Illinois in 1982, where they enjoyed an active life of boating, fishing, golf, The Elks Club, and playing bridge several times a week. Shirley was a local talent and known jewelry designer who was once a full page feature in The Osceola News Gazette. They were both active members of Elks Lodge 1875 in Kissimmee. A memorial service will be held at Osceola Health Care Center in April, the date to be announced. When you live 94 years, you leave behind a legacy of memories and many relatives. Shisler; Great Grandchild-Allison L. and husband Brandon Holtzapple; Great Great Grandchildren-Oliver & Stella. Grandson-Thomas E. Craig; Great Grand Children-Zachary T. & Kristyn M. Granddaughter-Victoria E. Craig-Walker; Great Grandchildren-Rochelle M. Evans, Miranda S. Craig, Kevin E. Nichols, Keith Auger, Darrius R. Walker, & Donovan E. Walker Jr. Granddaughter-Cynthia A. Craig; Great Grandchildren-Christopher D. Glover, Alexandra G. Craig, & LaVaughn M. Craig. Grandson-William J. Hardlannert IV; Great Grandchildren-Katie Hardlannert & William J. Hardlannert V. Granddaughter-Michelle Hardlannert-Pellegrini and husband Tony. Grandson-Jeffrey D. Baron and wife Nicole; Great Grandchildren-Justin T. & Jonathan N. Grandson-Bradley T. Baron and wife Madelaine; Great Grandchild-Carter T. Shirley Burnett Craig Woods Hardlannert...you were certainly one of a kind and left an impression on everyone you met.
