Paul Szoke Jr

John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" Paul Szoke Jr, age 77, was called to home on Tuesday, December 10th , 2024, surrounded by loved ones at his residence. Paul was born on March 28, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, son of Paul Szoke Sr. and Edith C. Bills. He graduated from Lee M Thurston Highschool in 1965 and immediately joined the U.S Navy, where he devoted 4 years to our country. Once he was honorably discharged from the U.S Navy, he decided to stay in Washington State and continue to pursue his love for boats and the ocean. He helped start a business that built and repaired boats, even helped build boats for the U.S Coastguard. Outside of working on boats he had a true talent for the arts, he loved to paint, draw and build different things. He also loved animals, raising his own horses and many dogs throughout the years. Years later he then became a commercial fisherman, bringing him to the Marshall Islands where he met his wife, Aisi. They got married on January 29th, 1982 in Majuro, Marshall Islands. They soon started to build their family and moved to Kissimmee, Florida with their two children Michelle and Christopher in 1986. Here he continued working in the boat repair/building business for many years until he retired, from that point on he stayed busy doing many different odd jobs, being a jack of all trades. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Szoke Jr. and Edith C. Bills and his former wife, Michael's mother, Rissa. Paul is survived by his Wife Aisi, younger brother Douglas, children Michael, Michelle, Christopher, Matthew and Chelsea. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, Austin, Elliot, Haydee, Ritza, William Jr., Amelia, Benjamin, Celia, and Madelyn....and of course we cannot forget his granddogs, whom he loved greatly. To honor his final wishes, we will be having a Celebration of Life on Thursday, December 19th 2024at Osceola Memory Gardens from 4pm to 7pm. He will then be cremated and his family will spread his ashes across the Pacific Ocean.
