Nadia Rosado

Nadia Jaylani Rosado was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 6th, 2006, with a head full of hair and a heart full of gold. She was welcomed into the world by her mother, Corrine Melendez, her aunt Mary Lou Melendez, and her Godmother, Monica Bermudez. To say she was a perfect baby is an understatement. Nadia never fussed; she was an excellent sleeper, a great cuddler, and always had a smile on her face. She grew up in a home overflowing with the nurturing love of her grandmother, Lillian Rosario, her sisters Nicole Martinez and Natalia Martinez, and her mother. As she grew, her personality became prominent in the household. At an early age, we could tell she was set apart, wise beyond her years, instilling Jeremiah 1:5, “Before you were born, I set you apart”. Nadia was known for being observant and a great judge of character. Earning her love and trust was a blessing and something that should not be taken for granted. As a child, she loved movie nights and playing in her playroom (aka closet) with her Barbies. She was the sweetest of all her siblings and was known for being the most helpful. Family was everything to Nadia. Nadia enjoyed true crime documentaries, movies, music from all genres (90s to early 2000s hip hop and r&b were her favorite), musicals, reading, playing board and card games, video gaming (she was nearly unbeatable at Mario Kart), and playing pranks on loved ones (she loved a good laugh). She excelled in school, and subjects like math came easily to her. She was an avid reader and could finish a book within hours. She graduated from high school with high rankings and received early acceptance into the University of North Florida, where she was pursuing Nursing. Nadia was known for being the smartest person in our family. After her grandmother was diagnosed with dementia, Nadia became our glue. She maintained order amongst her siblings and held those she was closest to accountable. She was outspoken, honest, loyal, and opinionated - never afraid to debate and get her point across. The name Nadia means hope — a fitting name for our opinionated, honest, kind, thoughtful, debatable, resilient, loving girl. We are left with a hole in our hearts and an ache in our souls; our family will never be the same. Our sweet girl was welcomed into the Kingdom on June 21st, 2025. Nadia’s love and legacy will carry on through her mother, Corrine Melendez, her beautiful sisters Nicole Martinez, Natalia Martinez, and their children Nevaeh Lillian Gallellgo, Cyrus Armanii Perez, Nyaeli Lillianna Perez, Naomi Lillian Martinez, Ezekiel Gabriel Ortiz, her Godbrothers Julian Neyra, Fabian Neyra, her brothers Elvis Rosado, Eric Rosado, Enrique Rosado, Errin Rosado and their children. To know Nadia was to love Nadia. She had a pure heart and resilience like none other. Proverbs 31:25 describes her best, “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
