Mary Yvonne Goodwin

Mary Yvonne Goodwin, 73, of Kissimmee, passed away surrounded by her loving Daughter Michele, Son Nelson, and "her girls", Carissa and Vanessa, who loved her dearly, on Friday, July 20, 2012. Yvonne was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 12, 1938, the Daughter of Doris LeBlanc. She was the widow of John "Jack" Richard Goodwin Sr., married for 49 years. They relocated from Boston, MA in 1988. Yvonne was known as Ms. Eve to many children in Osceola county, working as a Child Care Director at the YMCA and Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Kissimmee, FL. She retired after her dedication to children for over 25 years, due to illness. Yvonne was preceded in death by her children, Mark Goodwin, Corinne Goodwin and Thomas Goodwin; and Grandchild Marc Tyler Torres. She is survived by Daughter, Michele (Nelson) Torres of Kissimmee, FL; Granddaughters, Carissa Torres and Vanessa Torres; six Sons Michael (Charlene) Goodwin of Boston, MA, Christopher (Moonika) Goodwin of Kissimmee, FL, Jeffrey Goodwin of Boston, MA, Joseph Goodwin of Kissimmee, FL, James (Deborah) Goodwin of Boston, MA and John (Lori) Goodwin Jr. of Boston, MA; Sister, Donna Lima of Boston, MA; Special Family Carmen Noone; 11 Grandchildren; Jamie Henderson, Thomas Wilson, Jack Goodwin III, Jill Goodwin, Kristin Goodwin, Michael Goodwin Jr., Brianna Goodwin, Saverio Goodwin, Dominic Goodwin, Ciara Goodwin and Christiana Goodwin; and by 10 Great Grandchildren. The Torres Family would like to thank the dedicated Vitas Hospice Nurses and Staff, especially Melinda, The Consulate Health Care staff, FPA Family Health Care "Family", her dedicated CNA Rosa Dossantos, and Connection Church Pastor Rob and Pastor Randy. Family will receive friends on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Osceola Memory Gardens (Kissimmee Chapel), from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held during calling hours at 7:00pm. Interment will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10:00am at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery (Kissimmee, FL).
