Arcadia Perez

Arcadia Perez Padilla, 92, of Orlando, Florida entered God’s kingdom on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was born on August 15, 1931, to Narcadia and Ignacio Rodriguez in Corozal, Puerto Rico. Arcadia was the matriarch of the large and ever expanding Perez Family. She was the most loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and is survived by her sons; John and Luis, third son Angel is deceased; daughters Nilda, Millie and Lucia; granddaughters, Natalia, Jessica, Chantel, Debbie, Chanele, Chyanne; grandsons, Jason, Carlos, Jr., John, Jr., Steven, Aaron and Angel, Jr. Arcadia also has 22 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Seeing an opportunity to raise her family and have a better life, Arcadia and now deceased spouse, Juan Burgos loaded their family on a plane and made the long trip to New York City. Her spouse Juan tirelessly and faithfully supported his family by working two jobs while Arcadia stayed home to raise her children. Later as the children grew, Arcadia also joined the work force to help provide for her family. Arcadia started her own buisness in Puerto Rico without any prior knowledge or experience. Arcadia had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation. She loved to sing and dance - Everyone who met her loved her instantly. Arcadia was also very artistic and a perfectionist when it came to her art. A woman with simple taste of clothing, she focused on providing her children with the best life possible without worrying about herself. Arcadia was a truly great woman whose impact will be forever felt by her family, that loved her dearly. She was a selfless woman whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones. Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive and love will be forever engrained in all she knew. A memorial service will take place at Osceola Memory Gardens-Kissimmee, 171 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee Florida on Sunday, December 17 at 3-4pm for family viewing and 4-8pm for the general public – but the family will be present from 4-8 also. Monday, December 18 will be the burial. At 9am there will be the family final viewing. There will also be a service given by a Pastor at 10am-10:45am followed by the burial.
