Olga Perales

June 4, 1939 - December 16, 2021

Olga Perales passed away peacefully on December 16, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was surrounded by her loving husband Adalberto Morales of 64 years, her son Michael Brian Morales, her grandson Michael Brian Morales, Jr. and her baby sister (as she affectionately called her) Belén Medina. Olga was born on June 4, 1939 in Humacao, PR. She came to the US at the tender age of 5 months when her parents Joaquin and Carmen Perales decided to start a new life & relocated to the United States. Olga graduated from James Monroe HS in the Bronx. She met the love of her life Adalberto and eventually married and started her family. She was blessed with two children Laurie Ann & Michael Brian. She held various secretarial positions but eventually left NY in 1967 to begin a new life in PR. There she became a model and eventually pursued a career in Real Estate. Her family grew and she was blessed with 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In 2003 her beloved daughter Laurie Ann got very sick with Multiple Myeloma and Olga felt that she would get better care in Florida so the family again relocated to the US. They bought a house in Florida where she was able to care for her sick daughter. Jesus Christ was foremost in her life and she prayed every morning, at night and whenever she needed her Lord & Saviour. Besides spending time with her family, Olga had a passion for traveling, dancing, music, nice clothing, good food and fine wine. She had an energetic personality and was truly loved by her family and friends. She touched many lives with her generosity & passion for life. Olga is survived by her loving husband Adalberto, her son Michael Brian, her grandchildren Zuheily, Michael Jr, and Julio and great grandchildren Destiny, Alondra and Leyla. About a month ago she received the wonderful news that there were 2 more great grandchildren on the way. She was ecstatic. She is also survived by her loving ‘twin sisters” Gloria Cortez and Belèn Medina, her brother-in-law Gregory Cortez, their families & many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Olga was pre-deceased by her parents, Joaquin and Carmen Perales and her beautiful, loving daughter Laurie Ann Morales.
