Luis Rodriguez

November 14, 1979 - March 19, 2021

“Luis “Slick” Rodriguez passed away on Friday, March 19th 2021 at 41 years old. Luis was a Panamanian American born on November 14th 1979 in Hoboken, NJ. Luis loved his children and his legacy lives on in them. He is survived by his son, “his twin” Elijah “Luis” Rodriguez (4) and his daughter Karisma Rodriguez (17). Luis is also survived by his father and mother, Luis A. Rodriguez and Migdalia Sanchez, his sister Joanna Sanchez, his nephews and nieces, as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Luis was extremely creative and he loved to dance. Hip hop music, rap battles and B-boying was his passion. He was a God fearing man, well-versed in the Bible, there wasn’t a scripture he couldn’t quote and he’d dare you to try him. He had the most contagious laugh, such a clown, always smiling. He’d give the shirt off his back, he was real and inspiring. He was loyal and loved, feared and respected, with the heart of a Lion, even strangers connected. As we say our goodbyes and as your absence is felt, may you finally find the peace you sought out from this world. Forever in our hearts, on our minds and in our stories, because of you “Slick” Rodriguez, BVL was never boring.”
