William Charles Fritchley

William Charles Fritchley. Commonly known among his dear friends as Bill and affectionately called Winky by his family, departed from this world on April 6, 2024, while residing in Kissimmee Florida. Born on April 7, 1953, in Tarpon Springs, Florida, he completed his earthly journey at the age of 70. Bill embodied the essence of a gentleman: Kind hearted, caring, magnanimous, full of humor, and ardently proud. Though he was a man of few words, his mischievous spirit and love for a hearty laugh enriched the lives of those around him. Above all, Bill was known for his generosity and the profound love he had for his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Charlean Fritchley, his cherished children, Billy (Stacey) Fritchley, Christina (David) Biggers, Jayne (Ben) Dodgin and Terry (Ashley) Fritchley. He leaves behind his brother Jim (Vickie) Fritchley, and nephew Charles (Heidi) Fritchley. His memory will be treasured by his ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and an abundance of nieces and nephews. He now joins his late father, Charles Fritchley, his mother Harriet Fritchley, and his brother Terry Fritchley, who proceded him in death. William devoted 21 years of his life to patriotic service in the United States Navy. His career began in the Mobile Mine Assembly Group (MOMAG) and culminated with him honorably serving as a Company Commander in Orlando Florida. His Naval journey took him to diverse locales, including the Phillippines, Scotland, and Charleston, where his loyalty and service to his nation were recognized with several commendations. A true patriot, Bill’s passion for his country continued into in civilian life, leaving a legacy marked by dedication and an unwavering sense of duty. As a devoted family man, he also took great joy in sharing activities like hunting and fishing with his children, son-In law and grandsons. The Fritchley family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Bills life at a service scheduled for 1:00 pm on April 18th, 2024, at Osceola Memorial Gardens Funeral home located in Kissimmee, Florida. In lieu of traditional floral tributes, the family kindly suggests memorial donations be made to the Cancer Society of America in honor of William Charles Fritchley. The family extends their gratitude to Osceola Memorial Gardens in Kissimmee, Florida for their compassionate assistance during this solemn time.
