Virginia Rowe

Virginia L. Rowe, 74, of Saint Cloud, passed away on January 15, 2016. She was born on October 15, 1941 James and Velma Robertson in Cutler, ME. An amazing, selfless and loving woman. She always put family and others first. She was a virtuous woman, who was innovative and could always make a way when there was no way. She was a remarkable woman with a heart of gold. Always supportive, encouraging and hopeful. Always inspiring the people she loved to move forward to trust in God and follow your heart. She was a nurturer and loved with all she had. She was the youngest of 9 children born to James & Velma Robertson. She had 6 brothers and 2 sisters, whom she loved dearly. Her brother Paul lived in Florida and she was able to spend many of the past years with him before he passed. She loved her brothers and sisters and often wished she was able to spend more time with them. As a mother she loved each of her children with all her heart, never showing favoritism, and always making sure we knew that she loved us all equally but differently. She had a different relationship with each of her 5 children. Always making them know and feel that they mattered and were important to her. As a nana, she would make you your favorite food like ramen noodles cooked perfectly with ice cubes waiting for you when you got home from school for her grandson Mikel and his friends. She would make her granddaughters her famous stuffed shells and make them laugh when saying “yeah man”. She would make any of her children or grandchildren their favorite no bake cookies, chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting or anything your heart desired. She enjoyed cooking and making the people she loved happy. She loved to read, cook and play bingo. She enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales with her husband Paul of 55 years. Her life with always filled with laughter, she was always a jokester and would laugh uncontrollably at times. She had a way of making you feel comfortable and welcome. Never one to judge or criticize, a woman who believed in treating others as you wanted to be treated. Her faith in God is what saw her through many trying times. She never wavered from that and passed that on to her children, teaching them that with God all things are possible. To always love each other, to forgive and always see the good in others. We always felt loved, important and encouraged. She lifted us up and always taught us to keep our chin up and keep moving forward. There are no words to truly express how much she will be missed, how much she touched each of us in a special way. She enjoyed reading,. She loved Snoopy and the Peanuts Characters and going to the Flea Market and she loved her Cats. Virginia is survived by her loving Husband of 55 years Paul, Son, Paul (Joeymarie) Rowe, Jr.; Four Daughters, Julie (Mikel) Hall, Christina Rowe, Sandy Kendle and Deanna (Marlon) Hammond. She is also survived by two Sisters, Janet Pinkham and Janice Howland; Three Brothers, Lawrence Robertson, James Robertson and Arthur Robertson, 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday January 18, 2016 from 2pm to 4:30pm with a Memorial Service at 4:30pm at Osceola Memory Gardens, Saint Cloud Chapel. with the Rev. DR.
