Victor M. Lopez Perez

Victor M. Lopez Perez (Vitin) passed away at the age of 82 on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the Osceola Regional Medical Center, Kissimmee FL. Due to hurricane Maria and health care limitations, Vitin and his family moved to Orlando, FL, September 29, 2017, from Puerto Rico, where he lived all his life. He had multiple health issues including dialysis treatments and heart complications, which he was dealing with until the end of his life. Vitin was married to Carmen Dolores Candelaria (Dolin) for 54 years. They had two sons, Orlando and Victor, and one daughter, Magaly. His son-in-law Willie, and Dawn were very much loved and appreciated by Vitin, always willing to help, care and nurture him. His siblings Jorge, Hector and Iris were very much loved by him, as well. The light of his eyes were his grandchildren: Giovanni, Gabriel, Veronica, Viviana, Tony and Carmen and great-grandchildren: Judah and Izrayel. Prior to retirement, he was a member of Major Taxi for many years and also worked for Pan American World Airways earlier in his adult life. He loved traveling, visiting family, playing dominoes, watch “novelas” with Carmen Dolores, discuss the political situation of Puerto Rico, among many other things. He was a catholic man, member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Carolina, PR, directed by Father Tomas F. Chacon, and as well as the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Old San Juan, PR, with Father Benjamin Perez. Although Vitin couldn’t attend a church here in Orlando, Father Miguel Gonzalez from St. James Catholic Cathedral visited him in the hospital before his death. Fathers Tomas, Benjamin and Miguel were of great emotional support during these difficult moments. Vitin was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and recently a great grandfather. He was a good man, full of kindness, respectful, modest, humble, a true gentleman who was very funny at times. At Vitin’s request, he will be cremated. A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 12:00 P.M. in St. James Cathedral, 215 North Orange Ave, Orlando FL 32801. If you would like more information, please contact Victor M.
