Velma Marie Beighey

Velma Marie (Engler) Beighey, age 95, went to be with her Lord on November 14th 2018. She was born in Sandusky, Ohio on December 15th 1922 to Elsie (Harvey) and Raleigh Engler. Preceded by her parents, brother Virgil (Bud), and husbands Harold D Stowe and Fred C Beighey. Her four children, Carol, Sandra, Kathleen, and Ned were abundantly blessed to be raised in a Christian loving home and well prepared for adulthood. She had 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren who remember many family gatherings and the love and concern that each were shown. Velma was raised on a chicken farm in Marshallville, Ohio, went to school and church and has written profusely about her childhood, her hometown and her life experiences. She lost her first husband after having two children. She remarried and raised a blended family. She always loved each one of her children equally and without reservation. She was an accomplished homemaker, bookkeeper, student, a voracious reader, pianist and organist, and a preschool teacher and author. She will be lovingly remembered by every family member, neighbor, and friend. She would want those left behind to remember her caring compassion for all living things, her appreciation of the beauty of nature, and her dedication to making the world a more beautiful place. Velma had a deep and abiding faith in her Lord Jesus Christ and the blessings of salvation! Amen! Services will be held at Osceola Memory Gardens 1717 Old Boggy Creek Rd. Kissimmee, Florida on Sunday November 18th, conducted by pastor Mark Engler, her nephew. Viewing hours from 12:00, service at 2 PM, followed by a gathering of family and friends at 1724 Western Redwood Ave. Kissimmee, Florida. Let this not be a time of mourning, but rather a solemn vow to live in peace and harmony with consideration and respect for all...rather they be like us or different. Velma was a forgiven Child of God and would wish each and every one a calming peace and serenity, strength to live a productive life, a positive attitude which brings pleasure in small and large accomplishments, and the joy of sharing the bounty of this Earth and eternity.
