Trilochan H. Bhatt

Trilochan H. Bhatt, 74, of Davenport, FL passed away on August 19, 2019. Born on July 19, 1945 in Kampala, Uganda to Hariprasad and Muktagauri (Vaidya) Bhatt, Trilo leaves a legacy of happiness, joy, and appreciation. He lived a full life reaching far across the globe, from East Africa to the United Kingdom and eventually calling the United States his home. His passions in life were diverse, including sports, particularly cricket, world politics and history, music/dance & travel. He welcomed different opinions, backgrounds, cultures, and viewpoints. The world was his home. Trilo’s caring persona always put others as a priority over himself, all with a grace and humility that was appreciated by all those he came across. After growing up in Uganda, Trilochan moved to London in the early 1970’s, where shortly thereafter he married his loving wife Kirtida (Sevak). The two celebrated 45 wonderful years of marriage earlier this year. In 1979, they moved to Chicago, which was the first of many stops on their journey in the US. An electrical engineer by trade, Trilo worked at many nuclear power plants and power stations across the country, applying his incredible mathematical and detail-oriented, analytical skills. Trilo’s ability to light up a room while rarely taking the center of attention ensured he was always the life of the party. He was frequently the first one on the dance floor, the last person to leave, staying to help and assist any of those in need. He lived a social life, maintaining strong relationships until the end, from school mates in Soroti, Uganda, to new friends and colleagues in London, Chicago, Ann Arbor, and Reading, Pennsylvania, to name a few, prior to building quick bonds with his retirement family in Davenport, Florida. Along with his wife Kirtida, Trilo is survived by his two children, Deepali (and husband Shri Parikh) and Jay, his brothers, Vasant, Chandrakant, Tansukh, Kirit, and Mayur, his sister, Varsha, and his two grandchildren, Sarina and Sajan Parikh.
