Tina M Vershel

Tina Maria Vershel was born in Covington, Kentucky, on April 23, 1959. When she was a toddler, her family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. She spent most of her childhood there and graduated from high school. She would make a life-changing decision when she moved to Florida in 1979. The move was life-changing because it was in Florida that she met and fell in love with her best friend and soulmate, Mike. On one of their trips to their favorite getaway spot, Gatlinburg, Mike and Tina surprised everyone when they decided to get married. And an amazing love story began that was the envy of so many other couples. Tina was a person who truly understood what it meant to have a servant's heart. She loved her career at Disney World, which spanned over 42 years. Her life embodied Disney's mission–spreading magic and happiness to all who crossed her path. Her love for her work was evident in every interaction, as she poured her heart and soul into creating unforgettable experiences for guests. Her infectious enthusiasm and radiant smile brightened even the darkest of days, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Tina was also known for her remarkable generosity and thoughtfulness as a gift-giver. She had a unique talent for finding the perfect gift to bring joy to others, and her thoughtful gestures touched the hearts of many. Whether an expensive keepsake or a simple token of appreciation, Tina's gifts were always given with love and sincerity, leaving a lasting impact on those who received them. Outside of her career, Tina was a devoted grandmother who cherished her role with boundless love and devotion. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them, showering them with affection, wisdom, and endless laughter. She took great pride in nurturing their spirits, imparting upon them the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience. Tina faced her battle with cancer with remarkable strength, courage, and dignity. She never wavered in her faith or determination to live each day to the fullest, reminding us to cherish each moment and never take anything for granted. Left to honor Tina's life are her husband, Mike; her children, Ashley (John) and Steven (Susan); and her grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan, Kendall, Ryan, and Dylan. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Jean Joyner, sisters Natalie, Jessie, Rita, Rose, Elizabeth, and Leslie, and her brother Roland. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to shine bright through the countless lives she touched. Her kindness, generosity, and infectious enthusiasm left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her, reminding us of the power of a life well-lived. Tina's life will be celebrated at 6:00 pm on April 19th at Spring of Life United Methodist Church, 11101 Moss Park Road, Orlando, Florida 32832.
