Raquel Dolores Prieto

Raquel Dolores Prieto Rodriguez was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on December 29th of 1929. The daughter of Juan Prieto and Dolores Rodriguez, she shared her household with her nine other siblings. In 1958, she married Jose Luis Garcia and had three children together that survived her. Her first born, Jose Ahmmed Garcia, his wife Nilda, their children Joel Ahmmed, Ingrid Michelle, and Giselle Marie, their grandchildren Michael, Jerry, Yarelis, Jorge, Aryelis, Joaylis, and Jeshua. Her daughter Lourdes Lucero Prieto, her daughters Francheska Nicole, her fiance Hector Correa, Melissa Anette, her husband Randy Elise, her grandchildren Isaiah, Serenity, and Abijiah. Her younger daughter Yasmin Marie Figueroa, her husband Marcos, and their children Lizander Adell, Erika Aimee, Kassandra Lorraine and husband Michael Lopez, and Jesse Alexander. She is also survived by her older sister Smyrna Isabel D'Annable and younger brother, Eduardo Prieto, and their families with many nieces and nephews. Raquel has been a resident of Kissimmee for about 29 years, where she made many friends and touched even more hearts. Anyone who came across her could see what a huge heart she had, especially for children, who she was always willing to love, defend, and protect with her life. Not only did she have a loving heart for all, she had a desire to help and give to anyone less fortunate. Raquel was an excellent mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to all. A wonderful daughter, sister, and aunt, she formed bonds with everyone who had the opportunity to meet this amazing woman. She could always be found with a smile on her face and love in her heart. Everyday, she led a Christian-based life, loving the Lord and honoring Him in every moment of her life. She led by example, demonstrating integrity and respect. On January 12th of 2016, after 86 years of full of love and memories, Raquel peacefully left this world to her eternal home with her Lord and Savior. Rest in peace, mama. We will see you again. Your loving kids, Jose, Lourdes, and Yasmin Come and celebrate the life of this great woman at her viewing on Sunday, January 17th of 2016, at Osceola Memory Gardens in Kissimmee, Florida from 4:00-9:00 pm. Her service and burial will be the following Monday, the 18th of January. The service begins at 11:00 am, followed by the burial at 12:00 pm.
