Providencia Chacon

Providencia Chacon 95 just days from her 96th birthday, of Kissimmee, FL passed into her eternal life to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Born May 20,1928, at the home of her parents in Guavate, Puerto Rico, and officially registered with a birthday of June 1,1928, she was daughter of the late Juan Muyet de Torres and Barbara Malave de Del Valle-Muyet. Providencia took pride in the care and nurturing of her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her in her later years as “GG” the Great Grandma of the family. Providencia was predeceased by her devoted husband for over 68 years, Jose M. Chacon, Sr. (2019), and her son Jose M. Chacon, Jr. (2020), She is survived by a loving family; sons, Jose R. (Sandra) Torres of Brentwood, NY, Juan J. (Jacqueline) Chacon of Lake Wales, FL; daughter, Jocelyn A. (Freddy) Gomez of Titusville, FL. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren Rebecca, Junior, Daisy, Joey, Yomayra, Daniel, Jay, Desiree, Karissa, and Marissa, and 12 great grandchildren: Jaelee (19), Jailene (16), Kaylani (15), Cheyanne (9), Zinnia (7), Kristopher (7), Josiah (7), Isaiah (7), Zayden (4), Malachi (4), Zechariah (3), and Abel Ray (9). Providencia was the eldest of 8 siblings and was predeceased by her sisters: Vidalina, Domitila, Marta, and her brothers Jose (1939-1940), Daniel, Marcelino, and Juan Muyet. Providencia shared many fond memories of her days playing and working hard on the family farm in Guavate, Puerto Rico. Providencia was a member of Alianza Cristiana y Misionera Church in Kissimmee, FL and her faith in God was a pillar in her life’s long journey. Her family is blessed with many warm memories of GG throughout the years and are grateful to have had many recent, new adventures even up to her last days on earth. The family will receive friends on Friday May 25, 2024 four o'clock pm to eight o'clock pm. A celebration of life service will be conducted at six o'clock pm all in the funeral home chapel. The graveside service will be held on Saturday May 25, 2024 (Birthday of Jose Chacon Sr.) at ten o'clock am at the Garden of Remembrance of Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery.
