Phillip D. Sparklin

Phillip Dean Sparklin, a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend, born April 20, 1941 in Goshen, IN. to Charles and Audrey (Cart) Sparklin, left this earth on May 2, 2013 at 5:09 p.m. while in the good care of Cornerstone Hospice and Beverly Eaton his companion. Phil was raised on a farm near Millersburg, IN. He was married to Amy (Arter), and they had three sons: Randy Sparklin, in Florida, Ronald Sparklin (Michelle) Bronson, FL, Rex Sparklin (Shelley), in Ohio. He is survived by 7 living grandchildren. Three grandchildren were born to Ronald Sparklin: Nathan, Christopher, and Christina; and four grandchildren were born to Rex Sparklin: Rex Jr., Allisyn, Ryan, and Reid Sparklin. Phil was also married to Beverly Eaton of Orlando, FL, and survived by Jasmine, a great-granddaughter. He is survived by two sisters (Mrs. Floyd) Nancy M. (Sparklin) Miller, Goshen, IN. and Florance L. Sparklin, Goshen, IN. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one brother, John J. Sparklin, and two grandchildren, Robert Ian Sparklin and Margaret Bethany Ann Sparklin and a brother-in-law, Floyd C. Miller. Phil graduated from the Millersburg High School in 1960. Phil owned his own businesses including Sparklin Excavating in Michigan, and construction enterprises in Indiana and Florida. He was a private pilot who enjoyed flying his airplane. To honor him, as a father, let it be said that Phillip Dean Sparklin, while known for his jokes (verbal and practical) only out done by his hard work ethic, really, his most noteworthy quality showed that he was a man who was there for those who needed him the most. Thank you for all that you taught us, Dad. We love you. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10th from 4 p.m. to 7 pm with Funeral Services to follow at the Osceola Memory Gardens Kissimmee Chapel. A visitation will be held on Saturday at 10am at the Funeral Home with burial to follow at 11am at the Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery, Kissimmee.
