Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Pastor Olumuyiwa James Adebayo August 8, 1975 - April 13, 2025 "Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace." Psalm 37:37. “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” - Matthew 25:23. Pastor Olumuyiwa James Adebayo transitioned into glory on April 13, 2025, in Kissimmee Florida, United States of America. He was born on August 8, 1975, to the late Mr Joseph and late Mrs Janet Adebayo in Kogi State, Nigeria. He was also a proud alumnus of Macjob Grammar School, where he obtained his Senior School Certificate. Pastor Olu, as fondly called held a Higher National Diploma in Accounting and a National Diploma in Financial Studies. He was the president of Foursquare Students Fellowship, FEDPOFFA chapter during his ND studies, where he brought a dedicated approach to ministry. He received ministerial training from various institutions, including the Word of Victory Bible Training Institute, The Summit Bible Training Center, Summit School of Ministry, School of Destiny, and Rhema Bible Training Centre, where he completed basic ministerial training and sharpened his passion for serving the Lord. Pastor Olu was a versatile individual who excelled in various roles. Beyond his ministry, he served as the first Accountant of Summit Bible Church, where he exemplified excellence, integrity, and a servant's heart. He was recognized for his calling and pioneered the Gwagwalada branch of the church, pastoring and impacting many lives over 8 years. Additionally, he facilitated Heart Talk/Forever Fresh, raising many sons and daughters in the faith, using his voice and wisdom to counsel and coach individuals on relationships and purpose. In 2014, he relocated to the United States, where for 11 fruitful years, he faithfully pastored Summit Bible Church in Kissimmee, Florida, continuing to pour out his heart in service to God and His people. While in the USA, he pursued further education, obtaining a degree in Business Administration from Purdue University Global and earning recognition through honor societies and awards for his academic excellence. Despite health challenges, he also became a Certified Scrum Master, Certified Data Analyst, and a Licensed Insurance Agent, though he did not actively pursue these professions due to his health issues. . He is joyfully remembered by his beloved wife, Adekeye Adebayo, and his cherished sons, Matthew, John, and Paul. He led his family with love, strength, and a deep commitment to God’s purpose. He is also survived by his sister, brothers, in-laws, cousins, nephews, uncles, and aunties. Pastor Olumuyiwa was a beloved Pastor who left a lasting impact. His life of devotion, worship, and service inspired all who knew him. Though he has passed on, his legacy continues to live on in the lives he touched. As his spiritual children affirm, "Pastor Olu did not die, he lives on in all of us." A funeral service will be held in his honor on Saturday April 26, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM at New Covenant Bible Fellowship 1722 W. Oak Ridge Road, Orlando, FL 32809. Interment will follow in Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery in Kissimmee.
