Neil Tait

Neil and his twin brother were born in Quincy City Hospital in Quincy, Massachusetts to Thomas Tait and Virginia Tait on April 5th, 1967. The family of four lived on Baxter Ave. in Quincy Point until the twins were 2 years old. They moved to Hanover, Massachusetts were Neil and his brother when to grade school. There were a lot of friends on Franklin Road in Hanover for them to pay with. In 1978, Neils father was transferred to St. Cloud, Florida because his company moved to Florida. Neil was 11 years old at this time. The family moved to Kissimmee, Florida. Neil and his brother went to Denn John Middle School, later to Osceola High School. Neil graduated from high school in 1986. He loved art mostly; he did pencil drawings. His favorite sport was basketball. During his years in high school, junior high, he made many live-long friends. His first job was with Food World, bagging groceries after school and weekends. He worked several years stocking groceries at Kash N Karry, Publix, and a short time at Walmart. He met his first wife Shawna while working at Publix. They married and had a son. Shawn was born on July 31, 1997. Neil and Shawna later divorced that year. Neil struggled with diabetes early in his life. He was diagnosed when only 5 years old. Because of the heavy lifting required at his job, he was having problems with his eyesight and had to have eye surgery, which caused him to be out of work for some time, which also meant change occupations. He went to work with his friend "Dave Napier" as a security guard at the Marriot Hotel near the airport. It was here that he met his second wife "Tara Vega". Together, they had a son named John, who was born Oct 29, 2002. They were married for ten years, after which Tata moved to New Jersey with a job transfer. Neil was forced to retire because of health reason. Since his divorce, he has been living with mother who is widowed and his brother who is also divorced. Neil had been in dialysis for the last eight years, because his kidneys shot down due to his diabetes. He has been struggling with his illness and pain for some time. Before his death, he was in the hospital for a month, struggling with his pain to get well enough to come home. He had planned to come home with hospice so he could come home and die in peace. Unfortunately, he died the day before we could make this happen. Neil is preceded in death by his father Thomas Tait, in July of 2006. He is survived by his mother Virginia Tait, his twin brother Noel Tait, his sons Shawn Tait and John Tait, his niece Joellyn Tait and his nephews Jason and Joshua Flores.
