Nancy A. Spicer

Nancy Ann Spicer, age 69, of Orlando, Florida entered into eternal life on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. She was born in Manchester, CT on October 30, 1950. Her memories will be cherished by her loving family and friends. She leaves behind her fiancé Guy Ingrassellino; her brother R. Todd Spicer and his wife Karen of NJ; her nieces Debbie (Fortier) Carone and her husband Arthur; Wendy (Fortier) Rego and her husband Kevin; Melissa (Fortier) Orr all of CT; Jennifer Spicer of Kansas; and nephew Matthew Spicer and his wife Penny of NJ; and 10 grandnieces and grandnephews. She was a beloved cat mom to Tinker and Bell. Nancy is predeceased by her husband Stewart Black; her parents Herbert and Marguerite (Beaupre) Spicer and her sister Susan (Spicer) Fortier and her husband Armand Fortier. Nancy was very involved as a young girl in the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and always spoke fondly of this time in her life. Nancy went on to graduate from Manchester High School in CT followed by a successful career as an X-ray Technician. She and her husband moved from Connecticut to Florida in 1988. Nancy loved life and the Lord and was an active member of the Conway First Baptist Church including volunteer work with many committees with an emphasis on her passion for working with the students of the Reach Up Program which is for Middle School kids. In addition, she loved to bowl, square dance and sing in the church choir. Nancy was born with a heart defect referred to as as Blue Baby Syndrome. The first operation to combat this problem in babies’ hearts was only discovered 6 year’s prior to Nancy’s birth. Nancy stayed ahead of her heart problem with the latest in medical advancements her entire life. She bravely endured heart surgeries many times, once as a baby and several times as an adult and fought to live until the very end. Nancy ironically was always upbeat and a person who had the biggest heart a person could have. She would do anything for anyone, loved everyone she came in contact with and gave so much of herself in her volunteer work or to her friends and family. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Osceola Memory Gardens, 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34744. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Conway First Baptist Church, located at 4000 South Conway Road, Orlando, FL 32812. Please join us for a luncheon to immediately follow. Interment will be at 2:30 pm at Mount Peace Cemetery, 775 East 10th Street, St. Cloud, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial contributions be made to Reach Up Program, c/o Conway First Baptist Church, 4000 South Conway Road, Orlando, FL 32812. Makes checks payable to Reach Up.
