Maulsie Evonia Fongbow, a beacon of love and grace, was born on April 12, 1960, in Kingston, Jamaica. She peacefully entered into eternal life on September 7, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will forever touch the hearts of those who knew her. The daughter of Hyacinth Johnson and the late Leroy Fongbow, Maulsie's life journey took her from the shores of Jamaica to the United States, where she called both New York and Florida home. Maulsie was not just a resident but a dedicated nurse who tirelessly cared for others, embodying the spirit of compassion and service. As a mother, Maulsie was the heart and soul of her family. She lovingly raised six children, with five of them continuing her legacy, while one preceded her in death. Maulsie's devotion to her family extended beyond her children, as she joyfully embraced her role as a grandmother to 17 grandchildren, showering them with warmth and affection. Maulsie's character was defined by three powerful words: Love, Forgiveness, and Perseverance. She exuded love in everything she did, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to have been touched by her affectionate and caring nature. Her capacity for forgiveness was boundless, a testament to her unwavering commitment to the Christian commandment of love. Maulsie's life was a living example of perseverance. She faced life's challenges with strength and determination, inspiring others with her resilience and faith. Her Christian faith was at the core of her being, and she obediently followed the commandment to love one another. In remembering Maulsie Evonia Fongbow, we honor a woman whose love knew no bounds, whose forgiveness was a guiding light, and whose perseverance was an inspiration to all. She leaves behind a void that can never be filled but also a legacy of love and faith that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind. A celebration of Maulsie's life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Church at the Cross located at 700 Good Homes Road, Orlando. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity or organization close to your heart in Maulsie's honor, as she would have wanted her legacy of love and compassion to live on through acts of kindness and service.
