Mark K. Alschen

Obituary for the late Mark K. Alschen “I am different and I didn’t want to be like the norm. Difference adds spice to life and this causes a person to enhance their quality of life. My life was never boring, although, I chose to hide my true identity. I loved being different.” A Time To Be Born Mark Alschen was born on December 3, 1930, in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, Russia to the late Alla Graur Alschen and Kaziimir Alschen. A Time To Live Mark lived the past twenty-two years in the Kissimmee, Florida area. He traveled from Russia after World War II to the United States in April, 1953 and becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States of America and making his home in Patterson, New Jersey. During the war, Mark was two weeks away from being sent to the death camp Auschwitz, where the Jews were being executed because of religious belief. However, God intervened and spared his life and saved him from this ill fate of death. He relocated to Little Falls, New Jersey. While residing in Little Falls, he graduated from a technical school in Patterson, New Jersey where he became an electrician. After graduating from the technical school, he gained employment with General Electric, while employed with General Electric he met his future wife Willie in July of 1984 and they got married in Sept. 1987. He worked as a general electric technician for twenty-five years and retired. Mark enjoyed repairing different types of equipment and appliances. Mark spoke five different languages and wanted to become an interpreter and had a desire to work for the United Nations interpreting the languages that he spoke. He loved to write prophesies and little word phrases that gave a different truth to life. The one that meant the most was “to get to heaven, one must go through hell.” He enjoyed spending his time feeding birds and playing chess. Chess playing showed him a way to figure out problems in life. This gift was called on many times in his life to bring a success that always caused him to prosper. He enjoyed a struggle. A Time To Leave Early Thursday morning, January 9, 2014, in the quietness of his home, Mark Alschen’s book of life was closed at 2:35 a.m.in Kissimmee, Florida. A Time To Mourn Left to cherish his memories are: wife, Willie Alschen, of Kissimmee, FL; son, Matthew Alschen, Fort Lee, NJ; step-daughter, Charrissa C. Wright; step-grandson, Jelani Jennings; nephew, S. Alschen; plus a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
