Lucille McKinney - March 27th, 1931 - April 27th, 2025(94 years young): Mom grabbed the wooden spoon and a wine glass one last time and rode the Speedex to meet up with the gang. She will always be remembered for her quick wit that rolled off her tongue. The many years of being a homeroom mother for all five kids, the many teachers and principals she knew by first name, as the five kids provided years of pleasant conversations to give her a subject to talk about. The scouting and the camping trailer trips with the Tag-a-long, and Coachman headed to Royal Pines, Stoffers, Tammishami, Cedar Point, Florida, West, North, and everywhere in between. The many years of being a phone operator and writer for The Newspaper, covering school activities and Ohioville Little League games. Retiring from Walt Disney World Conventions and Sales and using her retirement from Disney to take family and friends on tours around the parks, dinner shows, character breakfasts, and shopping trips. The friends and neighbors always getting the non-burnt cookies, though she didn't burn the 5 kids. The hard tack candy, the orchard of candy apples, and a cornfield of popcorn balls handed out each Halloween. Being a mom and 2nd mom to many others in Ohioville, PA. And St. Cloud, FL. The memories overflow, filled with the laughter and joy of family and friends who have enjoyed the pool over the past 38 years. Without a doubt, what she cherished most was watching the happiness that the pool brought to everyone. She made it in time to celebrate her mother's birthday on April 28th, and plan our dad’s birthday in May. She smiles, laughs, and looks down on 5 kids, 10 grand kids, 13 great grand kids, with the 14 on its way, and the station hasn't closed in Potter's town as the family is 29 and counting. As she was the party planner who didn't want a service for herself to not put up a fuss, she'd rather we celebrate her by raising a glass on May 18th, at 4:18 PM, when she was able to see everyone she loved at once and share the best set with all of our loved ones keeping an eye over us all. Rather than flowers or donations, Mom would want you to cherish your loved ones. Enjoy time with family and friends, creating memories to share tomorrow.
