He is preceded in death, by his wife, Jo Johns and by his son, Clayton Johns (Kathi) He is survived by his children, Roger Johns (Debbie), Justin Johns (Birgit), Lydia Bleakney and Timothy Johns (Debbie). He has 8 Grandchildren Jason Johns (Traci), Jonathan Johns (Giselle), Melissa Johns, Jenna Burton, Jennifer Johns (Cory), Bobbi Jo Justice (Ryan), Laura Holmelin (Ryan) and David Bleakney (Bambi). He has 20 Great-Grandchildren, Gage Johns, Noah Johns, and Isabella Johns Julius Johns, Ava Johns, and Michael Clayton Johns Joshua Clayton Burton, Chloe Burton, Jacob Burton, Emma Burton, Jaxson Wyatt Burton and Bryant Burton Lily Johns Juliette Justice and Scarlette Justice Alaina Holmelin, Jameson Holmelin, and Jaxson Holmelin Mia Rosales and Phineas Ford Bleakney He has 1 Great-Great Grandson - River Johns Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Great-Great Grandpa. He was born in Kenansville, FL on February 4, 1927 to Clayton and Rhoda Johns a Pioneer family of Osceola County. He was a Varsity half back on the football team and graduated with honors from Saint Cloud High School in 1945. He proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Italy in WWII. He married Jo in 1948 and they were married for almost 73 years. He became a Christian at 29 years old and has remained a faithful servant of the Lord since. He worked as a truck driver for most of his adult life, raised his children in church, and sang around the area in Central FL Missionary Baptist Churches. He was an ordained Deacon, played the guitar for many, many years at church, taught Sunday School, sang, participated in EVERYTHING, and many more leadership roles at church. He had a great sense of humor and sat at the kitchen table making everyone in the room laugh. You could find him every morning reading his Bible and read through the entire Bible many, many times. He wrote almost 50 Gospel songs and recorded them on Cassette Tapes and CDs, and would give his songs out to everyone. But the best days and hours were spent with his beloved Jo and his children and grandchildren. He will never be forgotten and will be remembered as faithful, dedicated to God, family, church family, and friends. He enjoyed sharing his blessings and giving to others. Strong, tender, kind, generous, compassionate husband, daddy, and grandpa. We miss him and we love him. We imagine in Heaven, he and Clayton are playing the guitar as mom plays the piano.
