Lorraine Valdes

With heavy hearts and eyes full of tears, we are saddened to share that Lorraine Valdes, of Solivita, FL, passed away on August 8, 2025. Originally a proud “Jersey Girl” from Little Ferry, Lorraine lived her life with humor, grace, and a beautiful spirit that brought joy to all who were lucky enough to know her. She was the devoted wife of Aurelio (Lee) Valdes, beloved daughter of Angela and Raymond Bailey, and cherished sister to Linda and Gregg Harrsch. Lorraine was a kind and caring stepmother to Michael, Christopher, and Caroline Valdes, whom she lovingly accepted as her own, and a devoted Nonna to her grandchildren, Alex and Mila Valdes. Lorraine’s greatest joys were her family, her many friends, her cousins in the Northeast, and her love of music—including Bruce Springsteen, Boz Scaggs, and, every Christmas, a concert by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She loved to entertain, laugh, and dance. On New Year’s Eve, you could always find her dancing the night away in downtown Solivita. A great negotiator and a tough businesswoman with a gentle soul, Lorraine leaves behind a legacy of love and countless memories from a life filled with laughter and kindness. After leaving the corporate real estate world in 2011, Lorraine and Lee founded Bella Verde Realty. She was detail-oriented and an award-winning realtor who took pride in matching the right home with the right buyer—often making their dreams come true. Family and friends would jokingly say, “Before Lorraine leaves the planet, she’ll have sold every home in Solivita at least once.” Lorraine will be deeply missed. She was a passionate supporter and fundraiser for the children of the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Foundation in Osceola County, and for the food pantry at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Visitation will be held tomorrow August 12th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Osceola Memorial Gardens, located at 3175 Pleasant Hill Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34746. A Mass will follow from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3880 Pleasant Hill Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34746. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Food Pantry. God bless you from Lorraine's family.
