Leonard Eugene Ledwell

Leonard Eugene Ledwell was born in Paterson NJ, on August 26th, 1965. He was the youngest of two children born to Ammie Lee Ledwell. Leonard departed this life on August 13th, 2014 at the mere age of forty-eight. Leonard attended Passaic County Technical and Vocational H.S. in Wayne, NJ. It was there that he met and fell in love with his then future wife Juliette Walker. Leonard and Juliette studied God's word the bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. They diligently worked at becoming dedicated servants of God. In 1986, they both publicly declared their dedication to Jehovah by means of water baptism. He followed his baptism by marrying his true love on August 30th later that year. Leonard retired from a lengthy career in the Waste Water Treatment Industry, and in 2005 packed up his family and moved to Florida. There he resumed work in Water Reclamation and Utility Maintenance Operations. Leonard continued advancing his knowledge in the water management industry, acquiring many licenses and certifications in this field. Leonard always enjoyed helping others in understanding the many promises outlined in God's Word the bible. He loved encouraging others to look forward to the many future blessings recorded, as well as grasping the deeper truths found in the bible. He truly had a zest for life. Although he fancied riding his motorcycle or taking nice drives to the beach, his true love was spending time with family and friends, with good music and good food and many laughs. Besides enjoying wholesome recreation and teaching others about Jehovah, Leonard's true passion was inculcating Jehovah's promises to his family. This was priority. He believed in setting a firm spiritual foundation within his household. Leonard will always be remembered for his warmth, compassion and empathy. His genuine sincerity with people welcomed all. We will also miss his contagious laughter and keen sense of humor. Everyone that knew him,loved him. Leonard leaves to cherish his memories of love to his devoted and loving wife, Juliette and their three children, daughter Tamara Chvonne (deceased), son Leonard Julian and son Lyle Jay. He also leaves behind his beloved mother Ammie Lee Ledwell, father Johnny Mack (deceased), brother Dennis Ledwell, (shared brother) Avery Rogers and two sisters Monica Briggs and Sharon Murphy (deceased). Also to cherish his legacy are nephews and nieces Jamar Parker, Savondria Pack (deceased), Essence Batey, Avery and Alexis Ledwell, Courtney Murphy, Tyler and Trent Briggs, 2 grand nieces, Mother-in-law Rosie Walker, four Sisters-in-law, Joanne Johnson (deceased), Gail Walker, Vivian Ledwell and Tracy Rogers. Leonard was privileged to have several relatives who had a special impact on his life as he grew into manhood. Grand Aunt Carrie Coleman, Aunt Maggie and Uncle Marion McDonald, Aunt Garonne Lee, Uncle Harmon (June) Spann and Uncle Freddie Burris, affectionately known as, "his handsome uncle", Cousins Ruby And Eddie Cotton, Barbara Coleman and several others unfortunately too long and too many to mention. As Leonard matured into his adult years he developed and cherished his relationship with his Uncle Holland Mack, Aunt and Uncle, Willie Mae and Henry Pearson. Countless friends and family also mourn the loss of our dear beloved. Although our hearts are saddened by his untimely demise, promises such as the one recorded at James 1:12 bring us true comfort..." Happy is the man who keeps on enduring trial, because on becoming approved he will receive the crown of life, which Jehovah promised to those who continue loving him."
