Joan Le-Ray Temple

Joan Le-Ray Temple, age 79, of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on peacefully in her home on Friday, January 17, 2020. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 9, 1941 to John and Eleanor Rose. She moved to New Rochelle, New York in her teens where she went to college and began a profession in banking and finance. She married her high school sweetheart and shared nearly 60 years of matrimony. The couple retired to Kissimmee, Florida where she was an active and dedicated Chairman of the Ushers and member of the Outreach at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Her memories will be cherished by her loving husband, James Temple, III; children, James Temple, IV, Jeffrey and Jermayne Temple (deceased); step-children, Jason Temple and Taywanda McKinney; grandchildren, Jamie Temple-Thompson, Ashley Smith, Tyrese McKinney, Olivia Temple; great grandchildren, Shanel Jones, Aiden Amador, Chance McKinney; great great grandchildren, Devon Temple, Dakota Allen, Kehlani Diaz, Nya Jones; siblings, John Rose, Leslyn Rose-Franklin, Darryl Rose, Connie and Brenda Rose (deceased); in-laws, Mynita Jackson, Sydale Burgess, Fred Temple (deceased); aunt, Jean Brown; uncles, Robert Booker, Bernard Booker (deceased); nieces, Lindsay Rose, Madison Rose, Jasmine Rose, Oni Hassin, Yvette Van Dyke Overthrow; nephews, Kyle Moody, Julian Rose, Matthew Rose, Jarryd Williams, Damon Burgess, Vincent Van Dyke; great nieces, Lindsay Van Dyke, Alexis Van Dyke, Aja Van Dyke, Chynna Van Dyke, Jaida Andrews-Rose, Caliyah Holley-Rose, Victoria Williams, Isabella Williams; great nephews, Gregory Van Dyke, J Brandon Van Dyke, Kameron Moody; godchildren, Bonnie Harrison, Keisha Cousins, Bernadette Adams and a host of cousins, in-laws, relatives and friends. A Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13, 2020 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Osceola Memory Gardens, Kissimmee Chapel, 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34744. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Joan’s life is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13, 2020 beginning at 4:00pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1709 N. John Young Parkway, Kissimmee, Florida 34741.
