Janin Celeste Santa

Janin Celeste Santa, 48, of Kissimmee, FL, went to live with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on May 15, 2023. Janin was born on June 13, 1974 in Bridgeport, CT to Ismael Santa and Anna Albino. She has lived in Kissimmee, FL since 1989. She earned an associate degree in medical assisting and was employed in that arena for a short spell. In pursuit of Christian excellence, she attended and graduated magna cum laude from the River Church Tampa bible studies several years ago and had remain an active member of the River Church Tampa. She evangelized to win souls for Christ using one-on-one personal and social media contacts. As a young girl, Janin taught herself “sign language” enriching her friendship with a deaf girl who lived next door. In her middle school years she was part of a scholars team that participated in an accelerated class quiz competition in Georgia. They won! Janin had a skill for acrylic, water colors and pastel paintings and an ingenuity with arts and crafts. She created paintings which she gifted to her family; some hanging in her parents home today. Her soft beautiful voice praised and worshiped her Lord during several seasons of church choir participation. She sung the most beautiful “Ave Maria” at her aunt's funeral back in 1998. Janin once sung Celine Dion's song “My Heart Will Go On” at a friend's house. The audience thought it was the original song playing on the radio...except it was Janin's pure voice. Janin loved gardening. She loved using an app on her phone to identify plant leaves for her dad. She created organic based smoothies and lovingly shared them with her brother, dad and mom. During her early teen years Janin suffered with systemic lupus erythematosus which caused bouts of Raynaud's disease [white cold hands and toes]. Lupus started her kidney deterioration which lead to 9 years of dialysis and difficult IV sticks. Janin dealt with heart disease, sepsis and bouts of urinary tract infections. In recent months she was diagnosed with uterine cancer which quickly metastasized. Janin leaves behind her brother, Ismael Santa, Jr.; godparents Alicia Nieves and Claudio Nieves [CT], several uncles; Leonard Albino [NC], William Albino [NJ], Edwin Albino [NC], Noel Martinez [NJ], Domingo Nieves [FL], Jose [Vitin] Santos [CT]; uncles-in-law JR Kelley [Kissimmee FL], and Baldomero Fernandez [Sanford FL]; several aunts, Nelly Kelley [Kissimmee FL], Mariana Santa [Puerto Rico], Gloria Santa Adorno Gonzalez [Kissimmee FL], Catalina Santa Sanchez [Puerto Rico]; aunts-in-law Julia Santos[CT] and JoAnne Balo Albino [New Jersey] She is preceded in death by uncle Gabriel Santa [Puerto Rico]; preceded in death by aunts Rosa Santa Colon [Puerto Rico], and Carmen Lydia Albino Fernandez [Kissimmee FL]. Preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Juan Santa [Puerto Rico] and Cristina Pagan [Puerto Rico]. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Leonardo Albino Martinez [NJ] and Idalia Torres Santiago [Puerto Rico]. She leaves behind several 1st cousins; Juan Santos [CT], Jose Santos [CT], Michael Santos [CT], Julio Santos [CT], Eduard Santos [CT], Julia Santos [CT], Marilyn Santos [CT], Vivian Adorno [Intercession City FL]; Elizabeth Adorno [Kissimmee FL], Linda Adorno Perez [Orlando FL], Gloria Adorno [CT]; Lynette Marie Fernandez [Sanford, FL], Rachel Kaye Albino [NJ], Awilda Santa [CT], Janet Santa [CT], Maggie Sanchez [CT], Carlos Santa [CT]; preceded in death by cousin Elizabeth Santa [CT]; she also leaves 2nd cousins Angel Luis Rodriguez, Luis Angel Rodriguez and Luis Manuel Rodriguez. Janin lovingly referred to her dad as “Papohead” and her mom as “Mamohead”. Her brother's nickname will forever be “Fumferhead”.
