Jane Judge

Jane Judge, age 93, of Kissimmee, Florida, entered her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on December 6, 2022. Jane was born on November 20, 1929 to Howard and Dorothy Cappel in White Plains, NY. Moving to Orlando, Florida with her family as a teenager, she met and fell in love with a handsome young dairy farmer, Bill Judge. They married in 1950, and her dream of raising a large family began to take shape. Jane devoted herself to loving her husband, raising 5 daughters, and serving others in so many ways. Her heart was always bent toward the well-being of families and especially to children! As if 5 daughters were not enough to see about, she opened her home and heart to include 2 foster-daughters, as well. Once her children were raised, Jane served as director of her church Children’s Day Care Center and was a board member for the local children’s home. With an extraordinary measure of grace, dignity, steadiness, and strength, Jane invested in more lives than can be counted as a godly mentor to women, Director of Women’s Ministries in her church, Bible teacher, and also by her simple example of living each day well. Jane also spent much of her time serving those in ministry, along with her husband, through her gift of hospitality, providing home cooked meals and sharing her spacious home for an overnight stay. She was truly a woman who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, allowing His love to touch the lives of those who knew her. Jane was preceded in death by her father and mother, Howard and Dorothy Cappel, and brother, David Cappel. She is survived by her husband, Bryan W. (Bill) Judge; 5 daughters, Stephanie Garrard (David), Jennifer Adamson (Jerry), Priscilla Edwards (Chuck), Cynthia Wilson (Mark), Melanie Molander (Matt); brother Howard Cappel (Kathy); 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nephew Peter Cappel, along with many other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Osceola Memory Gardens, Kissimmee, FL. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Downtown Baptist Church, 120 E. Pine Street, Orlando, FL at 11:00 a.m. with lunch and visitation to follow.
