Gary King

Gary Lewis King was born May 10, 1955 to Steve and Florence King In Los Anglos California. Gary King served in the Army from 1974 till early 80’s. Gary was a husband, dad, grandfather, brother, son and most of all a man of god. Gary King was married to Sandra King, who was a devoted wife to Gary for over 30 years. They had a blended family that includes, Lakeshia Patterson, Gary Patterson (Deceased), Tiffany Sernaque, Benjamin Gardner, Latease Coleman, Tinisha Gardner, Carlos Gardner, Avery Gardner, Shakatherine Varnado. Gary Has 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren Who he loved all the same. In Gary’s Spare Time He Loved listening to music, watching Western and Days Of Our Lives. He also was a huge sports fan, his favorite teams was the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs. He also loved antique cars, his favorite car was a 1976 Chevy Chevelle and any vehicle with the Cadillac name on it. His number one goal was to take care of his wife. He had a great sense of humor, he also loved entertaining family and friends. Gary Left Remarkable Memories That will never be forgotten. • Daughter Lakeshia One of my favorite memories of him is when I was young my dad lived in Manhattan. He would bring me to the house where he lived at with an older gentleman he was living with and taking care of because he was such a nice person who loved to help and take care of people. He built a garden in the backyard and every time we would come over, he would pick red tomato’s and we would eat them I would spit it out because it was nasty and he would start laughing at me, but that’s when I realize my dad was a real country boy. • Here’s another great memory from youngest daughter Shakatherine, when I was in elementary school and my mom Sandra used to be out of town. Gary had to comb my hair for school. His hands were so heavy and he would put a lot of grease in my hair to put it in one ponytail that’s when I learned to start doing my own hair. • Daughter Tinisha One of my many memories of Gary is when I was going through a rough time in my life and he came to me and said don’t worry about it, everything’s gonna be all right. He then made my breakfast, even though the food was still half frozen I still ate it. It showed me that he was very compassionate. • Son Avery When I was in the 5th grade I played football and Gary and my mom would come to all my games. After the season was over Gary told everybody that “moon team had a perfect season”. When they would say that’s good, he would say “they had a perfect season of loosing”. We lost every game that year. All those memories was Gary the funny laughing nurturing natural humor he had. Gary will be truly missed Here’s a poem from his Granddaughter Destiny, We can shed tears that he is gone or we can smile because he has lived. We can close our eyes and pray that he will come back or we can open our eyes and see all that he has left. Our hearts can be empty because we can’t see him, or we can be full of the love that he shared. We can turn our back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or we can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. We can remember him and only that he is gone, and cherish his memories and let it live on. We can cry and close our minds, be empty and turn our backs, our we can do what he wanted and smile, open our eyes, love and go on.
