Edith S. Tribou

Edith S.Tribou, 93, of Kissimmee, Fl. & formerly of Palm Harbor, Fl. went home to be with her Lord & Savior Sunday December 1st, 2013. She was born in Seitendorf, Germany on January 14, 1920 & emigrated to the United States at the age of 17. On July 9th, 1945 she proudly became a U.S. citizen. Not long after, she met & married Warren J. Tribou of Bar Harbor, Maine. Sadly, her beloved husband passed away in March of 1954 at the young age of 32 years. She enjoyed swimming, gardening, reading, travel, & corresponding. Many of her friends & relatives will miss all the cards & letters she sent for birthdays & other special occasions-she always remembered them. She was a caregiver for her mother, Ella Jungjohn, & then continued to help other elderly people in need--by visits to their homes, to nursing homes, hospitals or with transportation. Edith was a member of the Steuben Society of America for almost 50 years & served as secretary, then financial secretary for her unit. She was a true patriot & loved her country while maintaining a place in her heart for her beloved homeland in Germany. She had a desire to keep the German culture, language, & traditions alive in this country. Mostly she will be remembered for her great faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She attended church service & bible study regularly for years. Edith loved reading her bible daily & was a true prayer warrior& supporter of missionaries. Family & Friends are deeply saddened by her loss but rejoice at her homegoing to heaven where Jesus is saying "Well done thou good & faithful servant. She had a plaque on the wall in her home that said, "Only one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last." She is survived by her loving daughter, Karin S. Noble, & son in-law, Hap Noble, Kissimmee, Florida; sister in-law, Barbara Cotter, Hingham, Mass., 1 niece & 4 nephews.
