Delivrancia Colas - tenderly known as Tann Tidé - passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, August 7th, 2020. She was the eldest legitimate daughter of Cemercant Colas and Mercilia Jean Pierre, born on October 20, 1925 in the small suburb of Dubre, Milot in Haiti, near the large city of Cap Haitien. A few short years after her birth, Delivrancia was moved to Cap Haitien to live with her aunt Luise Jean-Luis and start her formative years. She enjoyed learning, well evidenced by her fluency in French as well as the written and spoken versions of her native language, Haitian Creole. She completed her education and Iearned her trade as a seamstress. She is survived by two sons, Jean Santana her eldest, Emmanuel Colas and her adopted son and nephew, Cleophat Tanis, his wife Ursule Thamara Tanis and his three children. Delivrancia also had five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her grandchildren from Jean and his first marriage to Liliane Gabriel Santana are Gaëlle Delivrance Santana, Joanna Jeathnielle Santana and Uela Sarah Santana and her great-grandchild born of Gaëlle, Annaelle Yaqirah Petit. Her grandchildren from Emmanuel and Jane Marceline Pierre Colas are Emmaline Colas and Emmanuel Colas Jr. Delivrancia had six brothers, Moliere Colas (deceased), Valcima Colas, Telfort Colas (deceased), Zidor Colas (deceased), Cledor Colas (deceased), Destima Colas (deceased). She also had four sisters Prudence Colas (deceased), Anestine Colas (deceased), Lormicile Colas (deceased), Charité Colas (deceased). Among her large extended family members were cousins, nieces and nephews who grew up with and around her such as Josephine Valmyr and her kids - Yanick, Margaret, Nerlande and Robert (Bob), Franklin Jean Louis and the Jean Louis Family, the Gustave family, the Joseph family and the Guerrier family, Neldiana Laurent, Louicilua Tanis, Louisa Colas, Denise Colas, Rozelette Tanis, Frantzy Colas, Estimé Colas, Innocent Colas, Montrema Colas, Cedric and Nelta Dona and the Dona family. Throughout her life, Delivrancia Colas continued to love knowledge and reading, incIuding her favorite book, the Holy Bible. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Cap Haitien, and St James Catholic church in Miami. She received her Introduction Rites of the Catholic faith in her early years and was a devoted, religious woman who took her kids to church every morning before school. She was an active member of the Legion of Mary Association and her love and complete devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary was never more evident than the last few decades of her life. She also revelled in the success of her small business, servicing the unique designs, orders and needs of her family and her town. She was well-known in her family and religious community for her kind heart and overwhelming generosity. She loved food and cooking and no one who stepped foot inside her home left without ample food to fill their bellies, monetary gifts, snacks and candy for the kids at home. She loved handbags and shopping, and always had a Iittle purse filled with candy for her great-grandchild with every visit. She also knew how to appreciate those around her; a kind gesture was never forgotten by Tann Tidé. She always said that she needed to go to bed early because she needed to pray her rosary and each rosary bead had the name of someone she loved and needed to pray for. She could not allow herself to forget anyone on her list, faithfully memorized since she had difficulty reading in her later years. She will forever live in the heart of those who love her. Arrangements for her include a viewing Saturday morning at 9:30am at the Osceola Memory Gardens on 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, FL 34744. Immediately following the viewing, there will be a funeral mass at 11am at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on 2750 E Osceola Pkwy Kissimmee, FL 34743. Guests and family members are then invited to the burial services after the funeral mass at 1 pm at the Osceola Memory Gardens followed by a small dinner in the reception hall.
