David M Bay

David M Bay, 67, of Saint Cloud, passed away on October 12, 2019 at his home. He was born on May 18, 1952 to Ralph Bay and Jean (Martin) Satterwhite in Fredericksburg, VA. Dave was a free spirit. He simply lived and lived life simply. Dave enjoyed his life and the adventures it took him on. Traveling at a young age from Virginia to California hitching a ride all the way. Never knowing who he would meet or where he would end up. He learned to grow wherever he found himself planted. He experienced life and had the tales to tell. Some good some not so good but always said he would never change a thing. He enjoyed all people and embraced diversity. He found most often those with less gave the most of themselves. Family was near and dear to his heart. His daughter Sara, stoled his heart the day she was born. Becoming an every other weekend dad was not his choice. Some choices are made for us and all we can do is our best. His heart never quite healed. He felt robbed not being there everyday to enjoy her smallest and daily accomplishments. His loving nephews and nieces, his brother Mark and baby sister Leslie and dearly departed sister Merry meant the world to him. Family was important to him. He loved my girls, and the way they loved us. He relished in everyone’s accomplishments big and small. Connie (me) was his life partner of 25+ years, we simply loved and adored each other only regretting we did not meet sooner in life. We had plans. Molly, his 15-year-old cavalier, was his sidekick. She slept by his feet as he worked diligently for hours on end. He was a title searcher/examiner. A job he loved so much he said he would never retire “what would I do?” He’d say. He loved his golf buddies; you know who you are. So many from Saint Cloud Florida to the UK. His world always got brighter and his smile bigger when Cliff and Leslie came to town. He loved golf. Even video golf back in the day. He was tough to beat there too. We played with his friends after a round at one of the local courses, sharing jokes, having a drink and eating some wings. He loved to laugh. And he laughed so easily. I just loved that about him. Dave also loved football. He was a Redskins fan no matter what and he stuck by them. Just that kind of guy. Football season brought football pools. Mr. Lucky just won the past week. Imagine that. Even the Redskins won last week. It was a sign. He’s okay, he’s happy and playing his perfect round. Way to go Skins! And can’t forget the lottery. Oh, how he loved the thrill of the win. Gonna win big one day and be everyone’s hero. He already was my hero. He also had a passion for old cars. Cruising Old Town in his “YELLOW” 1957 Chevy. All the great times we shared. He loved music and sang in the car to all his favorites. He had a good voice and knew all the words. He amazed me like that. If he loved you, you knew it. He wasn’t shy. He loved life. He loved Home. He loved the flower! He will be missed.
