Christopher John Marcotte

Christopher John Marcotte, aged 57 of Saint Cloud, Florida passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and immigrated to the USA in 1975 where he was adopted, along with his sister Kim, by Ron and Paula Marcotte. He was raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland and moved to Orlando, Florida in 1996. Chris spent the entirety of his working life in the restaurant business. He started at the age of 15 as a dishwasher, and later a server, line cook and manager for a couple of different restaurants around the Gaithersburg area. After his move to Florida he worked for Romano’s Macaroni Grill as a line cook and traveling trainer for 16 years, and during that time, he opened 19 restaurants over 8 different states. He then transferred to Maggiano’s Little Italy and worked there for 9 years before leaving to work in the Darden Smallwares Distribution Center. Chris met Monica in 1998 and they married in 2002, and they were a perfect match. Chris adopted Monica’s two young children, then they had one child together. Chris was the best husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. There will never be another like him. Chris was an all around great guy, always quick to help family or friends with anything they needed, to include: home moves, car repairs, yard work, chauffeur duties or even just cooking a meal when someone was going through a tough time. He always made time for his family, and their needs always took precedence over his own. Chris was very active in sports for many years, including snow skiing, golfing and fishing. He had a passion for cooking, as well as anything to do with muscle cars. He spent an hour a day on the internet, looking at cars for sale. He was able to purchase his dream car in July 2024, after waiting 20 years for just the right car. His favorite musical artists were Metallica, Tom Petty and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Chris is survived by the love of his life Monica, 3 children, Aimee (Wyatt) Turner, Jacob Marcotte, and Hayley Marcotte. 2 grandchildren: Weston Turner and Sophia Turner, his sister Kimberly Marcotte, niece Sucrie Jones, and nephews Justin Marcotte and Christian Marcotte. Chris was predeceased by his parents, Ron and Paula Marcotte. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 11:00 am, at Osceola Memory Gardens, 2000 13th Street, St. Cloud, FL 34769.
