Charles Wallace Longson

Charlie was a kind man who always looked out for the best interest of others. He was always willing to listen and offer wisdom to anyone who was in need. He loved to run, but he loved serving God even more. He was always willing to share the name of Jesus no matter where he went. You always felt loved after spending time with Charlie. Charlie went home to be in the arms of the Lord on December 27th, 2020 at the age of 59. He was born on November 29th, 1961 to Marguerite and Everett Longson. Charlie loved the outdoors and animals. It wouldn't be uncommon to find him with a snake around his neck while growing up. Upon completing high school, Charlie went into the Air Force. From 1979-1985 he served as security police on the Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. Charlie met Kimberly Hepler in 1989 and fell in love with her and made her his wife in March 1990. He loved his wife and children dearly. He was a true family man and he was so proud of the family he raised. He always taught what was right, honorable, true, and admirable. He always encouraged his family to fix their eyes on Jesus, no matter the circumstances that surrounded them. Charlie was a dedicated servant to Osceola County where he served as a Deputy Sheriff for thirty two years. During these years, he sought out justice to bring peace to those who were wronged. Charlie was also a valued member of the FDLE Cyber Crimes Task Force from 2012-2016. During his time as the primary computer forensics examiner on this task force, The Congress flew a flag over the United States Capital in recognition of his service for the conviction of sex offenders to a combination of over 1000 years in prison. When Charlie wasn’t being an unsung hero at work or home, he loved to spend time at the beach and Port d'Hiver with his wife, as well as doing anything adventurous with his kids. Charlie is survived by his sister Kathy Loggins, Julie Longson, brother Jim Longson, John Longson, wife Kimberly Longson, son Ryan Longson, daughter Jessica Religioso and her husband Josh Religioso, and grandson Rowan Religioso. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 09, 2021 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church in Orlando.
