Catherine (Zbras) Yost; nee Britto Our beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, Catherine Yost lived her life to full measure. After graduating from Norwalk High School, she worked as a telephone operator for the Southern New England Telephone Company, and later, moved into the banking industry as a real estate appraiser, where she was renown for her accuracy and business acumen. She retired to Florida in the mid-1990’s and lived happily in Poinciana and Orlando, Florida. Catherine married Arpad Zbras and had two sons, Arpad Jr., (Corky) and Francis. Later in life, she married Jack Yost and lived happily until his passing. Catherine is preceded in death by Arpad Zbras Sr., and Arpad Zbras Jr., Jack Yost, and her parents, Florence and Harold Britto, as well as a sister, Harriet (Britto) Boger. She leaves behind her remaining son, Francis, and his companion Nancy Street, four grandchildren, Cathy Jane Laster, Jona Martinez, Shannon and Brett Zbras, and four great-grandchildren in New York, Connecticut and Florida Tyler, Dajiah, Aracely and Ava. She is also survived by a brother, Harold Britto Jr, (Donna), and a sister, Ann Legoza, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as friends and neighbors. Those who knew her will remember her joy for life, her profound generosity and giving spirit, and her love for her family and her pleasure and contentment when hosting family events and holiday dinners. She will be sorely missed and remembered for the love she gave freely to others. Graveside service was performed through Osceola Memory Gardens on Monday, December 12, 2016, 2:00 pm at the Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery, Kissimmee, FL, with Father Richard Tuttle officiating.
