Carlton Foster

Carlton Anthony Foster was born in Burnt Savannah, Jamaica, on March 24, 1953 to the late Isaac Foster and Anita Grant. He was the 6th of 10 children. He was educated at Mount Grace All Age School. At an early age Carlton worked at Grace Kennedy (Paradise Packers) in Savanna la Mar Jamaica. Carlton could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He met and married Delores Buchanan Young, the daughter of the late Pastor Rupert S. Young and Ivy Young. God blessed them with a handsome, talented son Carl Anthony their blessing from God! Carlton loved the Lord, he was called to the ministry at a young age and remained faithful and dedicated to his calling. The family migrated to Canada, and there he served in ministry. From Canada the family moved to the United States; Carlton served as a loyal Associate Minister at Holy Tabernacle Church of God n Christ in Bridgeport, CT. under the late Bishop Ivory W. Holden and the current Pastor Willie J. Moye. While in Connecticut Carlton worked a GBT Authority until he retired in May of 2019. Carlton moved to Kissimmee, Florida in June of 2019 to be with his family and serve as the Assistant Pastor of Breath of Life Worship Center, where his son serves as Pastor. On Saturday April 11, after a brief illness the Lord peacefully called Carlton from labor to reward. Carlton was predeceased by his parents: Isaac Foster and Anita Grant, and sister Ruby Foster. He leaves to celebrate his life, his loving wife of 48 years Delores Buchanan Young of Kissimmee, Florida; his only child and beloved son Pastor Carl and his wife Phyllis of Kissimmee, FL: three caring brothers: Jephrey Foster of Montego Bay, Jamaica (Donna, New York), Delroy Foster (Marcia) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Eudie of St. Catherine, Florida. 6 sisters: Cynthia Dacosta of Markham Ontario, Canada, Pauline Gooden, of Long Island, NY, Sadilynn Foster of Markham Ontario, Canada, Grace Foster Miller of London England, Ettle Gibson (Charles) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Cousins Arlene Ralston (Riley) of Orlando, Florida, Ruby Hunter of Jacksonville, Florida, Kenneth of Pennsylvania, Eleth (also know as Micey) of Jamaica, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on May 9, 2020 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Faith Builders Community Church; 2050 Old Hickory Tree Road, St. Cloud, FL 34772.
