Billie Jo Clinton The family of Billie Jo Clinton is saddened to announce her passing on August 5, 2024, at the age of 79. Billie was a resident of Bainbridge, GA from 1967 to 2023, and moved to St. Cloud, Florida in late October, 2023. She was born in Cerro Gordo, a small town in North Carolina. Billie was preceded in death by her father, James Franklin (Jim) Honeycutt, mother, Willie Mae Honeycutt Jones, brother: James Franklin “Buck” Honeycutt, brother: Jimmy Dale Honeycutt, husband: William Wade Clinton, Sr. and son: William (Wade) Clinton, Jr. Billie’s surviving family members are: Children (and their spouses): Tammy Sevy (Victor) St. Cloud, FL, Jimbo Cannon Okeechobee, FL, and Pamela Thomas (Robert) Baker, FL Grandchildren (and their spouses): Laura Dunton (David) St. Cloud, FL, Stacy McDaniel (Heather) Milton, FL, Dustin McDaniel Mesa, AZ, Amanda Clinton, Bainbridge, GA, Brandi Thomas, Melrose, FL Great Grandchildren: Zachery McDaniel, Blake McDaniel, Alexander Dunton, Leo Cofer, Daphne Thomas, and Joshua Dunton Immediate family members: Annette Rich (Teddy), William (“Tiny”) Honeycutt, Gloria Jean Lorini and Cyndi Markel (Glenn) Billie was one of a kind, a free spirit and she spoke her mind (whether you liked it or not). She loved her family, Jesus, church and her favorite Bible book was Psalm. Billie was left permanently disabled due to a head injury as a teenager, and miraculously survived injuries that most didn’t believe she could survive or overcome. Not only did she survive, she went on to get married, raise a family, and even live on her own after the death of her husband in 1995, until she was placed into a nursing home in 2011. Billie was a strong, resourceful and a very determined woman. After the accident in 1962, she gave her life to Christ and did her best to serve Him the rest of her life. Billie suffered a lot of pain in her life due to the results of her injury six decades before, but she rarely complained and kept doing what she needed to do. God was with Billie and protected her in too many ways to explain. She was in and out of the hospital dozens and dozens of times in critical care with pulmonary issues. Family members would be distraught and praying for another miracle and go home at the end of the day not sure that she would pull through this time, but the next day they saw her she was not only recovering, but complaining about the wrinkles and bruising on her skin instead of being focused on getting out of the hospital. Billie enjoyed the simple things in life, her family, getting food from Wendy’s (chili, hamburger and frosty) or KFC, going to the park, sitting outside in the sunshine, listening to and watching the birds. She loved “her shows”, two favorites were wrestling and crime shows, especially Nancy Grace, and during her 9 months in Florida she loved sitting outside and feeling the breeze, feeding the birds and watching the airplanes fly by. Oh, we can’t forget her coffee…boy did she love her coffee! Cream, no sugar! Billie was a very clean person with her body and her surroundings. She was always moving furniture around, and everything had to be tidy and clean (she complained that a room was dirty if anything was out of place). She had no problem telling someone they need to brush their hair, put on a better outfit, get a haircut, or letting they know that they had gained a few pounds. Billie was a kind woman, but she didn’t have a filter and she spoke it as she saw it, which endeared her to some like-minded truth tellers or created enemies with others, who didn’t see things as she did. Billie either had you laughing or crying, depending on the situation, sometimes both at the same time. Billie was old fashioned and wasn’t fond of makeup or nail polish until she got around the other ladies in the nursing home. She was however, always lovingly called “Queen B” because she always got what she wanted and when she wanted it. When she was called Queen, she really took it to heart and felt special and gave you her sly grin. When she won first place in the “2019 Beauty Contest” that really sealed it for her … she had the sash, the roses and the crown to prove it! She “needed” her mascara, eye brow pencils, lipstick and nail polish (red, none of that clear polish for her) from that time on, as well as her hair rollers. In the last month of her life she wasn’t worried about her breathing issues, her biggest concern was “how do my eye brows look”? Billie lived a lot longer than most predicted considering her health situation. Even with her own struggles with her health, while in the nursing home, she watched out for other residents in the nursing home and made sure they got help if they needed it. Billie was a special child of God, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will always be in our hearts and we will miss her dearly. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support during Billie’s last month from so many, including Hospice - the amazing Vitas Team. The Vitas Team of people who cared for Billie during her last month had a very fond affection for her and thought she was an amazing person. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for the family, and she will be buried next to her son and husband in Bainbridge, GA. One of Billie’s favorite passages was Psalm 23.
