Audra B. Green

Audra B. Sims Green entered life eternal on the morning of March 17, 2020. She was born on February 22, 1931 in Wainville, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years Harry A. Green, Sr. Audra was a high school graduate and was devoted to her family, friends and a faithful servant to the Lord. She enjoyed faith and fellowship at Neptune Road Baptist Church for many years. Audra worked tirelessly all of her life. She often shared good memories of growing up on a farm. She would help her father by holding the horses as he applied their new shoes. She would ride the horses back from the work fields. Audra spoke of enjoying swimming with her brothers and sisters in the ole swimming hole. She walked to a one room schoolhouse and could come home for a hot lunch with her mother before returning to school. She loved learning and reading was her passion. She spent many hours growing shrubs, gardening and tending to her flowers. From the beginning of their marriage she and her husband opened their home to young family members to get a good start in life. She also babysat young neighbor children, in addition to raising her own 6 children. She was lovingly referred to as Mom-Mom. She entered a new career path in 1983 as the Accounts Receivable Manager at Hoseline, Inc. for 33 years until her retirement in 2016. Audra is survived by six children, Audra Johns (Chris), York, Pennsylvania, Linda Grafton, Ocala, Florida, Harry A. Green Jr. (Lynn), Duncannon, Pennsylvania, Ronnie Green (Priscilla), Sewell, New Jersey, William Bill Green (Tina), Dover, Pennsylvania, Debra Lamb (Raleigh Jr.), Hampton, Virginia. She has five surviving siblings, Earnest Sims, Erbacon, West Virginia, Tommy Sims (Joyce), Norwalk, Ohio, Forest Sims (Sharon), Sandusky, Ohio, Harry Sims, Sandusky, Ohio, and Lela Wehr, Sandusky, Ohio. Audra has 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noble Sims and Lillie Ann Carpenter Sims; siblings, Lloyd Sims, Beulah Moore, Eula Weese, and Clarence Sims; grandchildren, Kristen Green, Jason Allen Kwasnik; great granddaughter, DeAnna Holley. Since 2016, Audra has lived in York, Pennsylvania under the care of her daughter, Audra Johns and family. She was able to spend time with her children and grandchildren in the area. A Visitation and Service was held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 in York, Pennsylvania for family members in the area. A Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with the Funeral Service starting at 12:00pm with Pastor A.J. Baker officiating at Osceola Memory Gardens, Kissimmee Chapel, 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34744.
