Antonio "Tony" Diaz , 85, passed away peacefully on April 23,2025 in Kissimmee, Fl. Born in New York City on April 28,1939. Tony lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to his family, a distinguished career and a joyful spirit that touched everyone. Tony began his professional career as a clerk at Citibank in NYC and through hard work and determination, he rose to be an executive leading Citibank operations in Latin America. After retiring from Citibank, Tony continued to serve others as an insurance agent, bringing the same integrity and warmth to this new career. Early in life, he was drafted into the US Army but was honorably discharged to care for his mother Amelia following the unexpected death of his father Antonio. This act of devotion reflected the sense of responsibility and love that defined him throughout his life. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children , grandchildren and loving friends. Known for being the life of a party, Tony had many friends and gatherings were filled with music, dance and playing guitar. He adored his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years Ivette, son Anthony, his daughters Debra Tirico and Denise D'Elia, son in law Michael D'Elia and grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, Rachel and Michael John. His beloved grand dogs, Sparky and Dasch held a special place in his heart. He is preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Amelia, sisters Lucy, Gloria and Nelly, and son in law Michael Tirico. A memorial gathering to celebrate his amazing life will be held on Saturday May 10, 2025 at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Crematory at 3175 Pleasant Hill Rd Kissimmee, FL 34746 between the hours of 4pm and 7pm.
