Obituary for Angela Marie Neal Angela Marie Neal, a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered eternal rest on August 19, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on June 3, 1964, in Washington, D.C., Angela lived a life of faith, love and generosity. Angela was a “daddy’s girl” and at an early age he led her to accept Jesus Christ. This marked the beginning of a new life in Christ filled with various health challenges where learning to put trust in Jesus became the staple of her life. These early life challenges also shaped her into becoming a tenacious prayer warrior. There were very few things she enjoyed more than praying and this devotion led to a life rooted in God’s love as evident by the life she lived never compromising her faith. She had an enviable habit of reading scripture daily and having devotional time further cultivating her faith. Additionally, she had a heart for discipleship to women, but especially younger women pointing them to Jesus. This love for discipleship was how she met and became friends with her lifelong friend of 45 years, Emma. On May 26, 1990, Angela married the love of her life, Rudy Neal. For 35 years, they shared a marriage that reflected the biblical call of Ephesians 5, with Rudy loving Angela as Christ loves the church. Throughout their time together Rudy doted on his queen always going the extra mile to demonstrate his love and care for her. Rudy highly esteemed his queen crediting her for being the stalwart of faith while he was yet a baby in Christ. Angela enjoyed being a mother and after their daughter McKenzie was born she transitioned from a career in nursing to become a full-time mom. Much like her dad, she had the privilege of leading her daughter McKenzie to accept Jesus at an early age. She also enjoyed being a grandmother (Mimi) embracing this new chapter of life where she spent most weekends nurturing Juliet (Juju) before her untimely death. Finally, she loved and adored her “Fur Buddies” Malachi, Noah and Aspen who brought her much delight. As a nurse her compassion and care for others shone brightly. Known for her gregarious spirit, quick wit, and fast-talking nature, she was a selfless giver who always made time to check in on her family and friends. Angela is survived by her devoted husband Rudy Neal; her cherished daughter and son-in-law, McKenzie and Jabi Ortiz; and her treasured grandchildren, Juliet and Micah. She also leaves behind two sisters, Ann Tait of Clinton, MD, and Lynda Randle (Michael) of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Nathel Tait, Jr. of Sedalia, MO, and Michael Tait of Nashville, TN; two sisters-in-law, Delores Tait of Hampton, VA; and Debra Jones (Samuel) of Columbia, SC; two brothers-in-law, James Neal (Marilyn) of Pinewood, SC and Michael Randle of Kansas City, MO and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Angela also leaves her cherished best friend of more than 40 years, Emma Robinson of Washington, DC. Though she has departed this earthly life, her legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on. Visitation for Angela will be held Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 2 to 3 PM at First Baptist Church ( all family members to meet at the Henry Chapel by 1:45pm) 3000 South John Young Parkway Orlando, Florida 32805. Interment will take place Tuesday September 2 at 10 AM at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee Florida 34744. A Special Tribute - The Final Curtain Sweetie, it has been our tradition to celebrate each other with a tribute on each of our birthdays and for you Mother’s Day and for me Father’s Day. On this day, I offer a special tribute to you the one I love because in my heart you will always be celebrated, cherished and remembered. You are and will always be my queen and the love of my life. From the moment I met you my heart skipped a beat, and I knew you were the one. One of the fondest memories I hold is as a newlywed and pharmaceutical representative I took your 20 X 16 wedding portrait into my doctors’ offices to show off my new bride when I should have been selling medicine. Imagine that and the crazy things love makes you do. I was unashamedly proud of you then and even now. I’d do it all over again. We’ve done and accomplished so much together. One of your greatest accomplishments I’m most proud of is leading what then was our little princess to the Lord. Together we nurtured her and now that little princess has herself become a queen nurturing her own little princess and newborn prince. What a blessing! My prayer is that she’d follow your exemplary example nurturing them in the Lord without compromise. GOD is so faithful that amid my sorrow He has enveloped me in the joy of welcoming our grandson. My heart always trusted you and I had no lack of gain. You did good and not evil towards me all our lives together. As your husband what more could I ask for? You taught me the real meaning behind prayer and exercising faith. I am blessed and we were blessed because you were the stalwart when I was yet a baby in CHRIST. You have been my perpetual blessing, and I thank the LORD for you. When it came to others, you were the caulk constantly filling the gap through your prayers. If only they knew why the river of GOD's favor flowed their way. It truly was in part due to your faithfulness in prayer. You had a compassionate heart towards those that were broken. Thanks for faithfully and selflessly not only praying for our family, but others as well. You bore your burdens with such grace, but you are now experiencing the best and most glorious day for the rest of eternity. As for me, I’ll continue to fight this fight and run this race until I’m with you in the sun and see the glorious things that you now see.
