Allan Roberts

Allan “Butchie” Roberts, 73, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away of natural causes on September 10, 2022 at Dr. Phillips Hospital in Orlando, Florida. Allan was born in Harlem Hospital on June 12, 1948 in New York City to the Late Frank Queenan and Mildred Roberts. Allan attended High School in New York, and later started working for the United States Postal Service at the James A Farley Building in Manhattan. Having always had a passion for mathematics, he would go on to pursue a second profession as a Sheet Metal Worker, joining the Sheet Metal Workers Union of NYC, where he continued to have a very successful career, where he eventually retired. Allan married his present wife Susan in 1984. This bond created inseparable soul mates until the day he transcended. They had one son, Jason Roberts. After living in Spring Valley, New York for a while, they eventually re-located the family to Pennsylvania, where they lived together for the next 20 years. Then, in 2021, Allan and Susan again relocated to Florida in order to be closer to their son and grandchildren. Part of Allan’s grandfather duties included attending baseball games, where he enjoyed cheering on Jesse and Mason. In his younger days, Allan was himself very active in sports including Basketball, and he played on many Championship Bowling Teams. Allan was always very sociable; he was known as the “Life of the Party,” and he brought fun, joy, and his famous BBQ to every family gathering. In addition to his wife Susan and his son Jason, Allan leaves to mourn, his 105 year old, beloved Mother, Mildred Roberts, two sisters, Janice Carlo and Donay Queenan, a sister in-law, Polly Horton, a son, Allan Roberts Caprola Jr., a daughter, Shaneka Roberts-Jones, two daughters-in law, Melisha Roberts and Theresa Caprola, a nephew, John Hendricks, two nieces, Sharon Cooper and Sharon Freeman, his grandchildren, Jesse, Mason, Anthony, Corrine, and Nicholas, grand nieces and nephews, Anthony, Dominick, Jasmine, Kayla, and Skyla, and a host of other relatives and friends. Allan was preceded in passing by a nephew (Kenneth Cooper) and a brother in-law (Anthony J. “Tony” Carlo). In lieu of flowers, the family encourages that you make a donation to a charity of your choosing in his name.
