Alicia Vinas

Alicia Victoria Vinas, aged 65, passed away in her loving husband’s arms at her home in Kissimmee, Florida on April 25, 2020. After 10 years of battling Alzheimers, we take comfort knowing her body has been released of this ailment and her soul now rests in God's hands. On April 2, 1977 she immigrated to the U.S. from Argentina with her husband Mario. The young couple brought nothing more than a suitcase that never arrived and hearts full of dreams to create a better life for themselves. She was brave, strong and had a deep rooted faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She sacrificed so much to create a home full of love, faith and to ensure her children always had everything they needed to succeed in life. She taught them to dream, to follow their passions, and know anything is possible if they are willing to work hard and trust in God. She was a devote Catholic, who centered her life around faith and found peace knowing that God was always watching over her family and would guide through the challenges in life. She taught her children how to love and to be humble. She showed them family values through her actions and helped prepare them for the day they would have a family of their own. Through her grandchildren her legacy lives on. Alicia was the definition of an incredible mother and wife. She dedicated her life to raising her children with the best morals, education and love that she could provide. She was the most loving wife who put all her faith in her husband from the day they married on September 7th, 1975 to her last breath. As her Alzheimer’s progressed through the years, taking away so much from all of us, the one thing that never changed was how she would open her eyes and smile at the sound of her husband's voice. Even sometimes whispering back "no me jodas". She cared so deeply for everyone she met and she would always make time to listen. She would always help others, especially those who needed love and support, like the patients at the nursing home where she worked. She would stay up late, writing hand-written letters to family and friends so they always knew they were in her thoughts and prayers. She leaves this world having touched so many hearts, she taught us so much and through our hearts her kindness, faith and love will always live on. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee, Florida. Attendance is limited to 10 guests at a time. She will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 10:00 am at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery in Kissimmee, Florida. Alicia will forever be remembered and loved by all those who knew her.
