William Lawrence Rabe Sr.

On Tuesday April 20th 2021 William (Bill) Lawrence Rabe Sr loving husband and father of 4 children passed away at 81 in Kissimmee Florida. William was born in Chicago to Edward Rabe, and Margaret Rabe on October 11th 1939 and was a long time resident of the Chicago land area prior to relocating to Florida. He went to school at Kelly High School and graduated from Midwest Industrial Management Association and Tool & Die Institute. Bill married Mildred Jean Tannheimer on June 24th 1961 in Chicago IL. Bill worked as a Machinist for Bronson & Bratton for 35 years and served in the military from 1958 – 1964 with the Army 2nd ARB 48th INF. Bill and his wife were avid travelers and enjoyed spending time together while seeing the world. He was actively involved with his children and grandchildren in activities such as youth football, Boy Scouts of America, and Kiwanis international. William Lawrence Rabe Sr. is preceded in death by his beloved Family: Father - Edward Rabe.; Mother - Margaret Rabe; Brother – Edward Rabe and Sister – Delores Renich William Lawrence Rabe Sr. is survived by his Wife and four Children: Wife - Mildred Jean Rabe; Daughter – Leslie E. Kolb (Gregory her spouse); Sons – William L. Rabe Jr. (Karen his spouse); David A. Rabe (Pamela his spouse) and James R. P. Rabe Sr. (Jamie his spouse). Siblings – Margaret Brogan; Robert Rabe and Patricia Pecher. Grandchildren – Eric Jackson; Matthew Jackson; Alison Sky-Leiterman; Shawna Rabe; Valerie Kolb; Mollie Rabe; Ryan Rabe; James Rabe Jr.; Sierra Rabe; Brittany Rabe; David Rabe II and nine Great Grandchildren At his request, a private memorial service will be held with family. Bill was passionate about supporting our armed forces and was a founding member of the National Museum of the US Army.
