Kathleen B Linn

Kathleen Bonomo Linn, fondly known as Kathy, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on July 2, 2023, just shy of her 74th birthday. Born to the late Emanuel and Mary Bonomo on July 20, 1949, Kathy was the youngest of 13 children in a warm, vibrant Italian family from Pittsburgh, PA. From an early age, Kathy was active in both her school and her church, paving the way for a life characterized by service, learning, and community. She was a trailblazer for her family, becoming the first to attend college, where she graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Later, she achieved a master’s degree from Villanova University, demonstrating her dedication to her education and personal growth. Kathy brought her passion for learning and her faith into her professional life. She taught high school math for 11 years at Wissahickon High School in Ambler, PA, and later lent her expertise as a computer programmer at Unisys. Upon retiring, she moved to Orlando, FL, where she continued to contribute to her local community and the First Presbyterian Church Haines City. A woman of many talents, Kathy had a fondness for canasta and mahjong, and a knack for crafting family videos that narrated their shared history through countless photographs. Her videos, capturing moments from weddings to childhood adventures, will continue to bring joy and solace to her loved ones. Known for her great sense of humor and fondness for family reunions, Kathy leaves behind precious memories. Without children of her own, she embraced her role as a doting aunt, deeply involved in the lives of her many nieces and nephews. A helper at heart, Kathy touched the lives of those around her with her unwavering willingness to lend a hand, especially to her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, her laugh, and her resilient spirit. Kathy is survived by her fiancé Michael Bowen, sisters Josephine Gomolchak, Mary Serrao, Betty LeDonne, Ruth Miller, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her late husband James Linn, her brothers Anthony, Emanuel Jr., and Norman Bonomo, and her sisters Charlotte Carbone, Sarah Scarpino, Bessie Hughes, Carol Davidson, and Virginia Harrity. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church Haines City on July 23, 2023, at 3 pm EDT.
