David James Cumbo

David James Cumbo passed away suddenly on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at 6:28am. David was riding his electric bicycle on Nova Road in St Cloud, Florida when he was tragically hit and killed by a pickup truck. David was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on April 28, 1966. (he was 56 years old) David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles C. Cumbo (died in 2009 at age 68) and Carol M. Cumbo (died in 2019 at age 78). David is survived by his fiancé, Emie Mag-usara; Brother, Charles Cumbo and wife Anita; Sister, Teresa Myers and husband Tom; Nephews, Anthony Cumbo and Tom Myers Jr and Wife Melissa; Nieces, Nicole Cumbo, and Michelle Delguercio; Great Nieces, Sienna and Sophia Delguercio; Great Nephew, Tanner Myers, David had many talents growing up; he was an excellent Drummer! (his favorite song was “wipeout”), and he taught himself how to play the piano and accordion. David graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Delaware in 1989 and worked as a Computer Programmer. He was a Computer “goo roo” and also loved fixing computers, especially if it was for people he knew. He loved to work on projects; fixing bikes, anything to do with electronics, batteries, speakers, and/or anything that was a challenge. David lived in a Manufactured Home Community in Kissimmee, Florida. He enjoyed a simple life and was very independent. About 5 years ago, David met a beautiful woman online, Emie, a School Teacher in the Phillipines. He went to see her a few years ago and they got engaged. He planned on eventually moving to the Phillipines so he could retire and spend the rest of his life with her. In April 2019, David was the primary caregiver for his Mother for several months before she died in July 2019. He went above and beyond to make sure Mom had the best quality of life. For the past few years, Dave was semi-retired, trading stocks in the morning, while having the rest of the day to relax or play some golf. He loved going to Publix Supermarket or Wawa to get a freshly made sub and/or soup. David’s passion was Motorcycles; riding them, buying them, selling them, that is what he loved! David loved to make people laugh. He loved doing voice impressions. He was very thrifty with his money, always looking for coupons or the best deal. He always offered his advice on how to save and invest money. David was a big competitor, he hated to lose. He loved playing golf and playing baseball, especially the Home Run Derby at Osprey Park, which is here in Hunters Creek, Florida. He also loved going to Disney Parks and Universal Studios. David had the biggest heart! He was always helping others, monetarily, or sending gifts to those who were less fortunate than him. He loved helping others, especially kids.
