Roderick Mortimer Wilmot

Roderick Wilmot was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He loved his family and always put family first. He was born April 11, 1964, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Mortimer and Lillian Wilmot. He attended Beach Channel High School in Rockaway, NY. He continued his education at Johnson Wales University in Miami Florida, graduating with an associate's degree in Culinary Arts. He worked at several establishments as a cook and chef including the Marriott, Hilton and the Windermere Golf Club. He was also a car enthusiast and worked with his friend Alex Rosario briefly at V12 Auto Sales. He was an avid spades player, loved to go fishing, master chef and a talented pool player. Roderick is survived by his parents Mortimer and Lillian, his two sisters, Denise and Janice, one brother, Anthony and a nephew Brandon. His family loved him very much and will truly miss him. Rest in peace Roderick God gave you to us for 57 years and you have a wonderful family and friends that love and miss you very much.
