Robert Lynn Miller, 95, a resident of Good Samaritan Society - Kissimmee Village, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, following a brief illness. Robert is survived by three sons and their spouses, Robert & Donna Miller of Chanute, KS; Ronald & Chris Miller of Glenfield, NY; William Miller of Lowville, NY; and four stepchildren and their spouses, Michael & Linda Akin of Watertown, NY; Robin & Bradford Chastain of Kissimmee, FL; Daryl & Ron Schaefer of Sarasota, FL; Steven & Candy Akin of Lyons Falls, NY; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had two brothers and a sister, Raymond Miller, Warren Miller, and Alta Miller Hyer, who predeceased him. Robert was born September 30, 1926, in New Berlin, NY, son of Lynn A. Miller and May Morton Miller. Robert married Elizabeth Gay Akin on June 30, 1980, in Lowville, NY. Robert & Elizabeth were married for 41 years, and she passed away just three weeks ago on September 29, 2021. A prior marriage to Ruth Miller ended in divorce. Robert served 1945-1946 in the US Army, Pacific Theatre, on Okinawa. He worked at Kraft Foods for 45 years, retiring in 1989 and moved to Sarasota, FL, where they resided for over 30 years. In December of 2020, Robert & Elizabeth relocated to Good Samaritan Society - Kissimmee Village. He enjoyed reading, keeping up with the news, and being outdoors to take care of his lawn and little dogs. As a member of the Sarasota Bird Club, he enjoyed going to their club events and had several exotic birds as pets throughout the years. Arrangements are with Osceola Memory Gardens in Kissimmee.
