Margie Rafi
March 31, 2022
Margie Rafi daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Nanton was born in Harlem New York on December 12, 1936. Our heavenly father who is perfect in all actions called her to her eternal home on March 31, 2022. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend who cared deeply for her family. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. Also known as Pinky (nickname), she loved life, she enjoyed all different genres of music, dancing, traveling, and entertaining. She was truly a fun loving person and would give you what she had if needed. As a stark defender of her loved ones, Margie was nothing to play with. At 5'1 and 115lbs she would ask anyone who messed with "hers," How you want it? All of the family, especially the children loved her because of her humorous candor. Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Catherine Nanton, her husband Muhammad Rafi, three brothers Morris, Joseph, and Dennis, two sisters Mary and Frances. She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memories, her sister Annie whom she affectionately called Theo, two children, Lawrence D. Nanton (Tamara), Caramia M. Monyer (Richard), Grandsons: Lawrence Jackson (Jashani), Octavius Shands, Jayson Monyer, Granddaughter Kyra Monyer, Great granddaughters Brianna Shands, and Serenity Jackson and a host of Nieces, Nephews, relatives, and friends. A Celebration of her life will be conducted on Saturday April 9, 2022 beginning at 1:00 PM at in the Osceola Memory Gardens Poinciana Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery, Funeral Home and Crematory, 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, FL 34744. 407.847.2494. www.osceolamemgds.com
